What if BK interviews the coaches and decides he doesn’t want them? He’s got an excellent track record of hiring good coordinators.

Sorry, I'm a big LSU fan, but in my opinion, outside the campus of LSU, Baton Rouge is terrible.

It definitely leaves a lot to be desired, but did I miss where all other universities are located in idyllic paradises with no problems?

Don’t you find it odd that we haven’t hired either OC or DC. We have our guys just waiting. Kelly’s history shows he is a closer ,I don’t believe that he has struck out on all these coaches!

I do not. It has been 2 weeks. Yes, ideally the staff would be named immediately. But, if you aren’t getting it done soon enough before ESD then there is no need to “panic buy” in the last days.
Sign your guys now and name your staff before the later signing day. Take the time to do it right and spend the time developing the plan for later signees and transfer portal.
The timing truly is no big deal. The right decision is much more important. In fact, the pool of available candidates likely widens AFTER ESD. I’d expect some people did not even want to get caught up in the negotiations until afterwards.

We fired a coach mid season 2 years removed from a Championship. Kept him on and let the cancer linger.
We ran thru coordinators like shite thru a goose the last few years.
We are facing tittle IV sanctions and possible NCAA issues.
Baton Rouge is a shite hole.
We have a depleted roster with no end in site to the bleeding.
You get one season to win a Championship before fans are calling for your head and AD appeases the masses.
I think it may be more than one or two things that makes us a hard sell.

If Kelly hasn’t offered anyone two weeks into the job, then there’s a bigger problem. Other schools are filling out their staffs.

Patience grasshopper. This HC is going to build a different kind of program than we are used to. One where coaches and players are totally committed. We had that a couple years ago but when things got rough many folded. Coach Kelly will get the right people.
