I just am cautious of people getting excited when we run all over teams we should and win games we should win abd people are just content hiring O.

We should beat UF at home and we should run wild on ATM

Regardless of HC
I'm very cautious of O being hired permanently as the head coach. I do however believe 100% that he should be retained as our DL coach and Recruiting Coordinator.

I've been in the Jimbo Fisher camp since last season.

So Fleck has shown interest eh?

LSU is a top five job, no doubt. But sometime locations and other things plays into the decision factor.

I just don't think because WE would beg for the job if coaching was our profession (I mean we are bias towards LSU) that almost every coach would beg for it.

1) will jimbo keep anyone besides aranda?

2)what about Trickett and kelly?

3) Does coach o know that the job has been offered to other coaches.

4)when is the estimated date that the hire will be made public?

Random, barring a huge meltdown from Clemson and Louisville, FSUViant making the ACCCG, and have an outside shot at making a New Year's Six bowl game. So when can we expect talks to really start heating up?

First off thanks to Random. You took a lot of heat last year but I think the deal was going to happen and f King screwed it up so not your fault. Thanks for the info.

Second, if coach O wins out then he deserves a chance of at least interviewing for the job. We al admitted with les he just needed to manage the staff. I would like to know who O would plan on bringing in for OC.

Third, I am all in for Herman but I think he is going to Texas.

Fourth, I love jimbo but would like to see him switch to the spread only because I think that we stand a better chance of beating bama then a pro style offense. Same with O.

I think it needs to be one of these three. Fleck just doesn't have enough experience yet for me.

Just my $.02

Not being a lsu Homer but lsu is a top 5 job and if you look at the potential opening this year lsu has the most potential with the team they have. I think it's a better situation than texas, oregon, notre dame just my 2 cents

Has a deadline to take it or leave it been given? I'd assume the preference is to have the new coach in place by the second week of December at the latest.

Jimbo hasn't signed anything nor has he verbally agreed.

The job HAS been offered to him and the ball is in his court. I've said it for a little while now, the job is his if he wants it and the powers that be want Aranda retained (major caveat).

Sounds like realistic info. I would bet his ex-wife and kids play a role in all this too, maybe more than we would like to think.

The great news is, all this will be over in 3 weeks..... I hope!

Were there terms attached to his offer?

Promising, but I hope Jimbo doesn't string us along. I also hope he keeps most of the staff intact. I think O probably leaves. I don't think his pride will allow him to stay. Move BDP to a recruiting coordinator and get a new ST coach. I'm on the fence with Grimes. He's recruited well, but we still struggle with pass protection against lesser teams and get blown up by Bama's line every year. Maybe one more year for Grimes to develop players. Jimbo then can add his OC and we should be golden.

Bdp is truly indestructible if he survives this transition.

Anyone know why Jimbo would not choose to come to LSU. 2 years in a row of assumed serious interest....

All Fleck needs is a chance, he will crush the interview
