This. People are pissed every week about the LSU offense. Can you imagine what it would be like when the offense directly affected your job and performance? Screw that.

Has to be something between Miles and Chavis for him to take the offense shot he did.

If this was just Chavis and Alleva or just about money he doesn't take that shot

Chavis single handle lost 6 games in the past two years in which the offense scored more than 28 points......

Why is the bcs championship referenced?

Lmao @ chavis

This article is complete fiction, and I should know. We do not have a ranch, only a house which we have owned for 20 years. I stayed in Knoxville a great deal because my father was dying and my mother needed help. John's issues were contractual nothing more or nothing less. I do not know who has an agenda here, but this is not journalism? The only source is the real source.

The bigger picture, if the article is true, is that Chavis saw no desire for Miles to change the offense in the near future.

in the 8 losses (yikes!) the last 2 yrs, we've scored 28 or more only 3 times, so you might wanna do some fact checking.

If TAM can get the defensive talent, you'll probably be good. If not, its not going to matter. Remember this..., if an opponent has the ball with a minute left and needs a TD, they're probably going to get it. Its his achilles.

Article proven to be a lie by his wife.

He wouldn't do that. He had an elite offense last season and LSU will be elite again. This was strictly about the contract and money. Period.

c'mon

this interview/article screams "self interest"

of course he's going to sound noble and for sure he's not going to make it seem like he did something wrong

Chavis defenses that last 3 years are directly to blame for 9 losses.

Last drive scores to lose a lead vs:

Alabama 2012
Clemson 2012
Ole Miss 2013
Georgia 2013
Alabama 2014
Notre Dame 2014

..and were run through like a hot knife through butter vs:

Alabama 2013
MSU 2014
Auburn 2014

Notre Dame 2014 could also be in the 2nd category.

Good DC but will get conservative at the end of games with a one score lead.

Geeze, there isn't one quote in the article from chavis.

Was the offense bad this year? yep. Was it bad last year? nope. Was chavis defense bad last year? yep. Did the offense put the team in position to win games against alabama and notre dame? yep. Did the defense fail late in the game to get a stop? yep.

At the end of the day, he did a very good job here. However, i do not believe he left because of offense. He left because of money and lack of control. he wanted 4 years garanteed. Lsu said you have it as long as miles is here. he wanted lsu to pay him regardless if miles was here or new coach was hired. so, go to atm. Plain and simple. we give him four years garanteed, offense would not have mattered, he would have signed.

this is a hack reporting job full of rumor, opinion, and no factual information.

HOWEVER, go back and watch the first quarter of that game. Chavis is full of shite. Alabama ran roughshod over his shell shocked D in between the 20s ALL NIGHT. He looked just as bad as the offensive staff in that first half. The D just managed to stem the bleeding by holding up in the red zone and forcing FGs.

i recall the same thing happening in the 9-6 first game, only difference is alabama missed a bunch of fg's that game, which they made in the bcscg.
