I'm not going to go through each loss while I'm at work but its rather amusing to see the Clemson game get blamed on Chavis when if Miles had run the fricking ball in the preceding series Dabo and Co wouldn't have even gotten the ball back. Never mind that the vaunted LSU offense had all of 219 total yards and held the ball for just 23 minutes.

Offense had 7 three and outs that game. Terrible.

It's called damage control because the truth was leaked out per private sources. Look I'm not saying money wasn't a reason. But I doubt it was the MAIN reason per earlier issues laid out especially in the article. It makes sense.

Gave up a 4th and 16 or so on that final drive.

Our defense was down right pitiful last season. Don't expect your defense to change overnight A&M.

can't blame him if true. Les' offense has made me wish I were born in a different state a time or 2, so I couldn't imagine being the D coordinator

The reason that the losses have been blamed on the defense is because of how the switch would suddenly flip and we would fall apart right at the end. LSU had one of the best 3rd down defenses in the nation this year, but gave up 2 game winning drives, managed to answer with an offensive drive and win after UF had what looked like one, and almost gave up 2 others against Ole Miss and A&M. That stark contrast stands out to the extreme. Each of these drives featured a 3rd or 4th and very long given up at some point.

So yeah, the offense could have done a LOT more this year. Everyone knows that. But it's still hard to dismiss shutting a team down for 9/10 of a game and then losing or coming close to it, not because of fatigue, but because of a drastic change in scheme that every opponent knows is coming.

the issue is the quarterback. lsu need to go to texas or california to find the quarterback. your quarterback does not have the touch and accuracy to be good quarterback. they are just good atheletes.

The article seems contradicted by facts to some degree... should be an Internet article

Why is this a surprise to anyone?
Any frustration we feel as fans must be amplfied by a factor of 10 by those directly impacted by it's production and/or lack thereof.
Imagine the risks and options he could take with the D if there would have been more points on the board?
He saw the iceberg and bailed off the Titanic.
Miles still thinks the ship is unsinkable and he can simply bust right through it.
Meanwhile, he puts everyone else left on board at risk due to his general lack of awareness.
