Yeah, he develops quarterbacks and lets them run amok off the field. They never lose playing time. Cool. Geaux Jimbeaux.

yep, the inmates run the asylum plus we are going to have to make him one of the three highest paid coaches in college football to get him. Not my money but it sure is going to make LSU look like chumps when we still end up with 2,3 or 4 losses every year and middle of the pack of the SEC west.

He is an improvement over Miles though (if he can improve his recruiting level), so that is a positive with hiring Fisher.

I appreciate most everyone's comment. It seems like the consensus is he won Natty with crab legs, can recruit well, and is a safer bet that Fleck or Herman. But no concrete definitive reason like, "he doesn't take bullshite, he's a hardass, he's got the balls to open it up" was given. There were some that said he can develop QB'a - which is a huge positive. But as for the rest of the excuses, I'm sorry, this sounds like more Les Miles bullshite to me and I'm still not sold.

Just my knuckle-dragging opinion FWIW. Again, I'm not trolling, I just wanted to feel good about this hire if it comes to fruition.

I still think I would rather see Herman, Fleck, or even Briles (cough) before we blow 6 million on leftover crab legs.

What the hell is this supposed to mean? "He's a hardass" is definitive?

The reason Jimbo's the main choice is this: he's the best available proven winner, at this level, that we can get. Most programs, Texas included, wouldn't be able to get him out of Tallahassee, so he's not pursued by them.

For some reason, LSU has the opening. Don't second-guess and go for some MAC or AAC coach, take the big prize.

Won a title as an OC and HC
Would be a long term hire since he is 51. He would retire at LSU and win many games

His record at LSU included a 5 loss season.

So we shouldn't hire Saban is what you're saying.

Won at an 80% clip at FSU, won a Natty, knows La, great recruiter, and DEVELOPS QBs. Remember Jamarcus?

All this here.

Aldo, do you realize he has a higher overall winning percentage than nick Saban does?

The miles comparison is nuts. Miles walked in to a loaded team poised for success.

Fisher took over a consistent 7-6 team that needed some new life. He completely turned them around, and quickly.

He has a very young team these past two years and injuries in critical areas. He's a great option for LSU and even fedora is not proven even though he has an ACC Division title.

Not sure how everyone forgot, but we all wanted him gone as our OC.

He surprised us at FSU. Maybe he's just better at HC. He's done great there.

All the rest doesn't really matter because #1 takes care of the rest

That's an extraordinarily stupid statement.

This is a start. I never got on the Miles bandwagon (ok just for a few weeks after the "have a nice day" speech) but I will support whoever we hire as long as it is a top tier OR trending up-and-comer.

You keep saying "crab legs" like Winston was going to walk in and win a Heisman no matter where he played.

Yes, that's why he was one if the most sought after players. Dude could have played in the MLB. He was that gifted of an athlete.

Funny how people knock on Les because he can't win without NFL talent at qb. Well what the frick has Jimbo won without Winston? Nothing, just loses to inferior opponents every fricking season. He had a Heisman candidate at RB abd squandered this season.

Sound familiar?

Our fans already hated fricking Jimbo, why go for round 2?

And yet he has had one good season. In a weak conference. Everyone thought the "Great" comeback against ole miss was impressive. Until we realize everyone else kicks the snot out of ole miss and that they suck. But I guess the drubbing they took from Louisville is ok, and the way the barely slipped past wake forest. He will do nothing here

No we "all" didn't want to see him gone. Some recognized after the Tennessee game that Miles was a fraud.
