Not trolling legitimate question.

His record at LSU included a 5 loss season. It also included at 13-1 Natty in 03. At FSU, about the same with a Natty.

Someone please sell me on him because I'm not getting a good vibe with hiring him. Kinda like warmed over leftovers. I'm more in the Herman camp or the up and coming wide open offense type.

It seems pretty clear from the info so far that the admin have Jimbo far above Herman. Herman isn't even being mentioned before guys like Fedora. It's either that or the greatest smoke screen I've ever seen.

He was part of the staff here, but not the head coach.

#1 He has a proven history of recruiting and developing QBs

All the rest doesn't really matter because #1 takes care of the rest, but he is also a championship winning coach, tireless recruiter, know the SE part of the country especially Florida and Louisiana.

There are many reasons, but for me #1 is why I want him. LSU can get athletes, we need someone that can get QBs

Won at an 80% clip at FSU, won a Natty, knows La, great recruiter, and DEVELOPS QBs. Remember Jamarcus?

Hm, because he is a really good coach, you fool. His resume is loaded, he's still young, and at LSU he could peak.

Next question.

Oh and your post could be said for saban too. Lost 5 games at LSU with Jimbo, and 6 games his first year at bama. Do you need an explanation of why he's a good coach too?

Wenhave the dumbest fans I swear

If you think you have a better option, I would love to hear it.

Who you got?

What if he's not an option?

Legitimate answer:
Come up with three names that would be better. I'll give you Herman, but who else? Thinking a guy like Fedora has a higher ceiling than Jimbo is asinine, and an up and comer is pretty risky. I understand the argument against Jimbo but he's the best guy out there that is actually attainable.

So why isn't it currently taking care of itself at fl st? He has by far the most talent in the conference yet has lost 7 games over the last 2 years

Yeah, he develops quarterbacks and lets them run amok off the field. They never lose playing time. Cool.

We are a top 5 program that can get practically anyone, or so I've been told. Fwiw, I'd take Kelly in a heartbeat over fisher as well as Herman. Jimbo did well with crab legs, but is underachieving in auch weaker conference

I'd be happy with Jimbo:
1-He coached at LSU and won a NC under Saban.
2- He's won three conference championships and a NC as a head coach in a Power 5 conference.
3- He recruited and developed a QB into a Heisman winner.
4- He can recruit- His last 3 recruiting classes ranked 3rd, 11th, 4th nationally (Scout).
