Said the other day it will be Orgeron no matter what happens next.

LSU sees it as an opportunity to save $$$ and they like the coach has a down the bayou accent.

THAT > best candidate possible

its hard to blame them at this point. O has pushed every single right button. He has corrected the Les Miles issues. Just from what we have seen publicly its hard to not have confidence that O has a very well developed plan for how to get the program to competing again

It isn't hard to blame them if there is not a real coaching search.

This should be a business decision. Put him next to all other interested candidates and line item their credentials and accomplishments. Hire the most qualified candidate. What's hard about that? This team is literally a multi-million dollar a year business. Can't run it like it's a 8 year old's clubhouse.

Agreed. That's why folks like Random aren't hearing about anyone else. It's because there's nothing else to hear. It's O's job unless he does worse than 2-2 in the remaining games.

If true, our "high level supporters" have low level intellects. In any event, how would any of them truly know Alleva's intentions? They don't. And they can't. They're just speculating, whomever they are.

can anyone post anything wrong about what O has done so far?

i get that we all want the tier 1 guys and all that jazz but what has O done while at LSU to say he shouldn't get the job. can the anti O people trust his long term plans based off what we have seen so far?

You guys are asking the wrong questions.

The only question that should exist is who is the best coach that LSU can get?

you'll likely get a lot of deflection and non-answers off of this question because you're right, so far he has hit every note. I don't know if it will continue but he has done a great job so far.

well if Herman, Jimbo, chip are off the table who is the best?

plenty of people are anti O without hearing his plans. I'd just like to hear what changes they don't like or think can't sustain a program. USC went on an insane run using our type practice that O has installed, DA U made a living off bringing back past players to hold current ones accountable. I'm just saying i think the moves he has made would be good long term ones for the program.

Then once we get outside of the sure fire guys its when it gets merky. Im not saying O should be the guy but I'm not going to right him off when he has made good long term moves.

Im just not going to throw a fit over it if we hire O, because one if we do then he probably has shown a long term plan that multiple big boosters agree will work, and we probably got turned down by the tier 1 level guys.

The issue is going to be its a coaching search so good luck ever getting the truth on who got turned down and what not.

I just don't want to see us not get a tier 1 guy and then pull out something like a Fedora and watch our D go straight ole miss.

if he doesn't win out he needs to have only one loss and look damn good in said loss. he is literally coaching for a job right now - if he drops two games then he doesn't get the job.

That's why people with actual information don't like to post here. 756 possibly brings us true information, but many of you choose to insult him because it's not what you want to hear.

You mean in the 3 game span at LSU? No. I just don't think that his 3 game span at LSU means as much as some people do.

NO ONE should trust him off of what we have seen so far. So far he beat mizzou, usm, and ole miss with a pre season top 5 time he did not actually build himself. I mean does any sane person think that equals LONG TERM success???

You're getting excited about beating terrible teams. That should tell you just how low Les set the standards in his first/last four games.

You don't know that for sure, either. As I've said before, frick this decision up and it will have long term consequences. Then LSU may have a rebuilding effort on it's hands.

I agree - teams he has beat so far are average at best. But to his credit he did to those teams what great teams are supposed to do - dominate. Next several games will show a lot.
