Got in the surf with some whales today….not close.

In rodanthe nc on outer banks.

Not sure what kind. But we kept seeing what looked like a 8 foot long alligator tail. It was serrated.

Some guy walks up and asked if we saw a whale and we said we didn’t know what it was.

Later on, Went body surfing because fish ain’t bitin’ and my friend whistled and points out 100 yds.

He took a pic. Said it looked like a seal sticking head out of surf.

Wright whales migrate through that area this time of year

Told the bait shop owner what happened and he said that sharks accompany whales since bait are in the area.
