re: Headed to Curacao next month, need recomendations - TigerAlum1982
We went several years ago. The Pirate Bay Beach Club & Restaurant and the Gouverneur Restaurant both had really good food and bar areas. I just remember there wasn't a whole lot to do, except dive; snorkel, eat and drink!...

re: TRSL - Leaving State Employment - TigerAlum1982
I'm pretty sure she will just lose her sick leave. I think it might stay "on the books" for a while; and she can get it back if she returns within a certain time period. It used to be this way. Not sure if it's still the same policy....

re: Albemarle--the latest example of the foolishness of corporate giveaways by Jindal - TigerAlum1982
That's what I thought and I know Ethyl was here in the late 1970's, at least, because I worked for them one summer between semesters in that same building. I thought the company just stayed when they became Albermarle. ...

re: Denver for New Years Eve - TigerAlum1982
Assuming you will have a car to drive around, I would stay in the Cherry Creek area. It is my favorite part of Denver. Lots of restaurants, bars, shopping (I am a female, so that's important to me!). I like Downtown, but can only take it in small doses. I'll be there in about a week! Hope to mo...

re: Anyone here ever had health issues due to toxic black mold or stachybotrys in their home? - TigerAlum1982
Yes, they live in Denver. They bought an older home (probably built in the 1940's) with a basement. But, she thinks it was a cumulative process resulting from living in lots of old homes, apartments in her college life and early adult life after college. She was lucky to find this Doctor in Boulder...

Simple, easy and very good. 1 can of Refried Beans, and 1 jar of Queso (I don't use whole jar of Queso because I like it thick). Heat on stove. Serve. ...

re: Anyone here ever had health issues due to toxic black mold or stachybotrys in their home? - TigerAlum1982
She and her husband did own the home. They had the mold remediated (it was in basement). Interestingly, it only affected her, and not her husband. After, they tried to continue living in it, but she couldn't. Her issues would not clear up. So, they disclosed it on the listing and sold the hous...

re: Anyone here ever had health issues due to toxic black mold or stachybotrys in their home? - TigerAlum1982
Yes, my daughter. Moved out of the house and threw out most fabric-related items that could not be cleaned. She had a lot of health issues, headaches, fatigue, brain fog, sinus/respiratory issues. After 1 1/2 years of living in a place that did not have toxic mold, she is much better. ...

Doesn't always work, but I'm going to Denver the end of August and got best rates booking one way trips. United from MSY going for $98 (nonstop) and returning on American (1 stop) to MSY for $111. Bought them yesterday. This is for Labor Day weekend....

re: any suggestions for a good tablet for ages 2-3? - TigerAlum1982
"The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends no screen-time for children under two and a maximum two hours a day thereafter. This is not just due to a proven link between screen-time and attention disorders, but because it eliminates other activities essential for building healthy bodies and brain...
