Is it against the rules for a dealership owner to sell a vehicle legitimately to somebody for say $100? It is the owners decision and if paperwork and transfer is done correctly does that fly? Serious question......

Agreed, I believe if LSU hadn't got one of the guys they wanted then there is no reason to announce they are retaining Coach O at that time. That announcement could be made at any time.
