Now that IT is a smash hit at the box office and word is out that it's getting the sequel, who would you cast for the adult version of the Losers Club?

It'll take place approx 27 years later, so the actor probably needs to be 35-45 years old to pull it off.

Justin Theroux as Bill Denbrough
Jessica Chastain as Beverly Marsh
Chris Pratt as Ben Hanscom
Danny McBride as Richie Tozier
Adam Scott as Eddie Kaspbrak
Chiwetel Ejiofor as Mike Hanlon

Bonus:
Bryce Dallas Howard as Audra Phillips
Jeremy Renner as Henry Bowers

This is obviously a dream list and certainly unattainable, but it wouldn't surprise if they pull 1 or 2 A-listers.

This movie was always going to get Part II, I believe. Now, it could have been properly funded and produced like, say, a comic book sequel. Or it could have been funded and produced like Starship Troopers 2--a straight to video abomination.

Looks like we'll get a properly funded and produced sequel.

Just copying and pasting what I put in the Spoilers thread.

Those are some pretty good names, but the problem is we most likely aren't getting A-list Hollywood names. I don't think WB increased the budget for the second film. So it most likely will be lesser known actors, save one or two spots.

Knowing that, I would go with the following for my picks:

Bill - Walton Goggins
Ben - Lee Pace
Richie - Sam Rockwell
Eddie - Ben Wishaw or Giovanni Ribisi
Stan -Josh Radnor
Mike - Jeffrey Wright (now that I think about it, he may be too old so possibly Sterling K. Brown)
Bev - Jessica Chastain (if you can't get her, Evangeline Lilly)

Are you under the impression that IT is a comedy?

I can tell by some of y'all's comments that you haven't read the book

Richie grows up to be a disc jockey / comedian in the book

I read the book, and I'm not just talking about one of the actors that was listed.

I've read the whole book as well, but that doesn't mean that the entire cast has to be made up of comedic actors.

I swear some people just want to put the biggest actors/actresses in certain roles without even thinking it through.

You complimented me on my picks being good picks in the spoilers thread you bastard

Albeit highly unlikely they'd be attainable at all. Just trying to pick actors I think fit the characters looks and personality.

Ehh Shia is turning 32 next year. The sequel to my knowledge doesn't even have a set production date so it's very likely that Shia could be close to 35 by the time filming begins which is close enough to 40. And depending on the direction they go with Stan he might not have that much screen time anyway. I just think he could play the role perfect of a scared, nervous, suicidal accountant.
