Given the current and past situations at QB, I am very excited looking forward. This BCS game will be the last pass this offensive coaching staff will get. They have said or implied that they held back due to their QB's, specifically in the passing game. There will be no excuses next year with Mett. He has the talent, tools, and the players around him. If he flops, this staff will be known for not being able to develope a good QB and we will probably have an even harder time recruiting/keeping one. I don't think Les will let that happen. I think this will loosen his grip on the offensive scheme and playcalling. Wishful thinking maybe, but why not be positive.

Les is like a C student in high school. He does just enough to get by and not fail. I doubt he wins a championship but probably a bcs bowl game which will make tiger nation happy while bama goes full steam ahead with top 5 recruiting class every year.

i think that once it's mett and not jj, we'll go back to the power running, i formation sets that we did early with j lee. once that happens, playaction and check downs will be more prevalent.

13-1 is not just getting by. He also beat 2-3 of those BCS game winners. Think he is stubborn. This game may humble his opinion of his own coaching abilities, which could benefit us greatly.

Right b/c he's never had a top 5 class and we never made it to the sec champioship and won or played in national title games.. Please stop acting like the sky is falling after one loss (were players & coach were outplayed and coached) and after a few recruits which 2 happen before game and now one mama's boy isn't coming... Happens every year to everyone.. so relax...

that mama's boy was the next peyton manning. LC was the next laron. GFY and yes i am mad. I watched us through the dinardo years and i don't want to watch us go into a slow decay. i have a hard time rallying behind les after that loss and especially now that he says he wants to recruit dual threat qbs. have fun watching short side options and bubble screens once mett leaves.

I think you are right which is why he hire Krags.. krags only had one year with JJ and lee he did what he could with both we say some improvement with lee.. i think thats why mett didn't start b/c give him 1 full year and a spring and summer with krags to help him rather than just throw him to wolves.. like we had to with jj and lee...Plus crowton did them no favors..

Next Peyton Manning Wow!! Lets not go that far there bro he hasn't played a down yet... LC hurt yes.. and just b/c 2 or 3 recurits go elsewere doesn't mean a decline i was here during denardo, hallman and archer... Let's not panick just yet..
signing day hasn't even come yet... and we have a top 15 class with several big recuits yet to choose...Plus is everyone forgetting how young this team was this year...

Keep in mind that Les has MORE SEC title game appearances and more BCS appearances than our previous coach. He has won the same number of NCs and SEC titles as our previous coach at LSU.

No other coach in the history of LSU football has beaten Alabama, Auburn, and Florida more in the same year than Les (that includes 2011).

I am just as disappointed in our BCSCG performance as anyone, but rather than skewer the most successful head coach in LSU history, I'd rather blame a shitty system that gave an egomaniac coach a second shot at us when he didn't deserve one. (Our previous coach can't seem to recognize that, yes, another coach CAN be successful at LSU.)

How many of us honestly thought JJ or JL would lead us to an BCS championship much less an appearance in the NC game? Not one of you. We made that game in spite of them. THAT'S good coaching. Period.

Perhaps, the problem was the fact that neither quarterback, over the course of four years, was able to inspire the trust and confidence of their head coach.

Les will learn? Really? Mr "Run to Establish the Pass" will learn?

I doubt it. You could go all the way back to 2006 when LSU played the Gators in The Swamp. The pass was open all game long, and LSU had a real passer, Jamarcus Russell. Les ran the ball all game long, refusing to adjust his game plan and take what the opponent was giving him. The frustration after losing to Florida in that game was palpable. And it is a recurring theme with Les.

Les won't pass unless the ground game is working, and that makes LSU one-dimensional.

Either Stud agrees with Les or he doesn't have the cojones to tell Les he doing something other than what Les wants.
