re: How good can Mettenberger be?

Posted by ellisutigers on 8/2/13 at 7:24 pm
I had dinner with a very close friend of ZM last night. ZM is making all the right off the field decisions so far this year. ZM knows this is his last chance and money year. He is taking this year a lot more serious than last year. I think ZM will have a solid year with the above mental changes...

re: Next year's leaders

I would love for Mett to be a leader but he doesn't have the tools to be the leader we need him to be. If he doesn't have it by now..... Sorry but dat truth! ...
Talked with a coach in the stands that coach AJ before this year and says he is the real deal but a better kid... No mentoring from JJ......
Well AJ's team is up 36 to 7 and looks pretty vanilla here on out. Few quick 3rd Qtr stats. AJ 0 for 2 in second half. Over threw a open fade route for a TD. Another rushing TD. Total 70 rushing yards. They have ran about 20 QB keepers up the middle...ridiculous. Make that 43 to 7 on ...
Halftime stats 11 - 14 101 yards 1 rushing TD 1 throwing TD Only had the ball 3 times with the exception before half with less than a min. AJ appears very accurate on the short passes, no throws over 20 yards yet... Kid has some get up and not afraid to get hit. Threw the ball away tw...
Yep.... My dad keeps the stats for the team.... He looks pretty good so far. Is it bad or weird to yell don't hurt him when he runs with the ball?...
18 for 19 in first half with 4 TD's...Two on the ground and two in the air. Ran the clock out in second half. Granted not against a very good team.......

I know this is late info on the topic but just found out today my wife's friend is very close to the Mettenburger family. She said today that if Miles would have left LSU Zach wouldn't have gone to LSU. We all know Miles can recruit some kids go to school because of the coaches alone. Go Tigers!...

My boss is on the chain gang at Northview High School where Fordham's plays. He was not impressed with him at all. Being a UGA fan he said he's glad he is going to LSU. I understand he is not a college recruiter but does have a pretty good eye for talent....

Amen brother. I live in Marietta GA and rode in with my LSU flags this morning. It has been a long 6 yrs. I wanted the GA game more than any other on our schedule....
I seriously doubt they go to the same school due to being two highly profile guys who both want the ball. I think we land Reed, but not Seastrunk....
Who cares this is a LSU site....

Relax guys we have been here before, unlike UVA. Go Tigers!...

You my friend have serious problems. Please take off the black clothes and know that your father loves you. Sorry you got beat up as a kid. Quit being a freaking jerk and simply just don't reply to a thread "prayers needed"....
I wish but not a chance....
I also live in atl with comcast cable and no luck findng the game. I heard it's on raycom, thought I had that channel. DANG IT!...

re: Cooper

Cooper will improve our secondary a great deal this year. Cooper coached 3 stars at USC and put them in the NFL. It's going to be fun to see Peterson, Jones, Coleman, Eugene, Brooks, and Co reach their full potential. :nana:...
I find myself doing the same thing. I think we intend to pay more attention when we have great classes coming in like this upcoming class. I have never been more exciting about a class than this years. This class will be one of the best ever for LSU. Good recruits = winning games!...
