Find a MLB team that has a home series and book a hotel near the stadium. Beer, pretzels, and ball. You would also be amazed at the amount of single ladies that frequent these games. Look for the ones keeping their own scorebook.

Find a good concert/live music venue/brewery scene within 3-4 hours and book a room for a couple of nights downtown within walking distance. Beach is packed right now so you're probably priced out.

To the OP, you can find flights to Cancun for 500-750. Cancun round trip for 552.From there, you can take a short ride to Puerto Morelos (22 minutes from Cancun airport) and stay at a suite on the beach for less than $100 a night. Puerto Morelos BNB
Puerto Morelos is perfect quiet fishing village with enough tourists to make it worth your while or it’s just a 22 minute trip to Cancun for all the nightlife you can handle.
That leaves $125 for booze and food for three days, which you can get cheap in Mexico.
For single guy with a little more than $1000 to blow this is how I would do it.
