re: How many people will admit?

that's me.... I had no confidence in jj and wasn't sure what the d would look like. D, biggest fastest defense i've seen take a college football field and lee only has to manage and not make the big mistake. Solid, solid team. ...

no doubt that the packers are the best team in the nfc, if not the nfl, obviously and you have to admire the way they continue to compete. Payton's teams never quit. Dline is obviously the glaring issue. ...

re: Oregon Fans at Game

they are definitely not a fun group of folks. they had attitudes from the start, zero tailgates that I could see... the loud injury booing was complete classless. Now, to be fair, i can see how they might not have been in the best of moods being outnumbered at least 4 to 1 and literally having to ...

Yep, being reported everywhere now. That is a GREAT hire. I wish we could have landed him. We missed one here....

re: Saban vs. Petrino.....

Posted by saintaustin on 12/12/07 at 8:57 pm
Saban, definitely... His name is now a term for hosing down teams, lying, quitting, etc. ESPN said Petrino "sabaned".... classic. But, really, they're both liars and quitters. Saban took a decent Dolphins team and turned them into an 0-13 worst ever....

re: "Sabaned"

"Sabaned" - not being man enough to deal with a tough situation, leaving a team in shambles, lying repeatedly about your intentions... The funny thing is everyone understands exactly what espn means using that term....

But, to repeat the question, if in the same circumstances, would you come out and say absolutely not, close that chapter, or talk to them? I think the guy was sincere when he made his statements. It's BS to say he's "helping them find a coach"... C'mon, we all know they are making a pitch to o...

what would you do? be honest

Hypothetical situation: You played football for four years at LSU, spent years as an assistant, met your wife, etc. It's your dream job, you openly love the school. But, today, you are the coach of a crappy midwestern school. Just for discussion today let's say OHIO STATE..., ANYWAY, Skip...

At his press conference today, he was specifically asked if would be DC in the national championship game and he said something like no, i've got lots to do here, i'm here now and coach starting today. Seems pretty clear....

Muschamp

Posted by saintaustin on 11/30/07 at 9:54 pm
Is he not considered at this point because he's so young? With NFL experience now, his intensity, defenses at Auburn, LSU history, would make a GREAT coach at some point....

re: pelini

Posted by saintaustin on 11/30/07 at 9:44 pm
We never were able to get much pressure on the quarterback with the front four, our corners struggled with technique, linebackers didn't get out in coverage, we rarely made adjustments, etc. We gave up HUGE yardage against marginal opponents. Muschamp holds arkansas to something like 46 yards and ...

FROM THE BAMA BOARDS

Posted by saintaustin on 11/30/07 at 7:32 pm
You should see their boards. It's hilarious. Two months ago 75% of the posts where about how they hated Saban for every reason and how Miles is a better coach anyway. Now, 75% of the posts are how about Miles sucks and they're getting Saban back, which they're just giddy about. Two weeks f...
