re: Seinfeld: Hollywood is OVER.
Also Seinfeld totally fine taking the cash from Netflix to be able to add to his Porsche collection but he’s not wrong. TV series are where it’s at for captivating an audience, we love a deeper story and you can only do so much within 2.5 hours for a film.
I guess i'm different. I ...

re: Most Appealing US Accent?
Posted by Jmcc64 on 4/23/24 at 1:44 pm
In a former job many yrs ago, I would regularly encounter older folk from the hills above Bham. Families usually in the coal mining business. It was hard for me to understand them. Very distinct, but not appealing in the least. Great people though (not rednecks) just hillbillies....
But the popular "Hey Dad, want to have a catch" line just doesn't do it for me. Has anyone that has ever played baseball ever said "you want to have a catch?" No. The most iconic line in the movie isn't even worded right
re: Annual Reminder To Set The AC At 78 Degrees During The Summer Months

for bedrooms, 78 during day and 77 at night. with ceiling fan on low, that's rarely not comfortable. main house is 78 all the time. our house and our bedroom has 18 ft ceilings so that helps, I think. Of course, upstairs (where no one sleeps) is pretty warm. at night our little 8" "white noise...

3 Trane units. 14 yrs. (2) evap coils. 1 condenser unit fan (i bought and replaced myself) , at least (1) capacitor. replaced the 2.5T AHU outright because it was almost as cheap as replacing the evap coil. that unit is upstairs and really is only used if we have a guest overnight staying up there...
