Live shrimp under a cork also free lining shrimp. The water is deepest between the rocks in the surf. There are parking spots for beach access along the road on Grand Isle. I like the one at elm st. Because the rocks are further out and the water is deeper. We usually do good there. On days when the...

re: Deer sausage question

I have read a lot how important it is to field dress a deer soon after you shoot it. I always have a pair of disposable field dressing gloves with me when I am hunting. Get the guts out asap and prop the cavity open with a stick so it can cool down fast. ...

You probably need a new belt tensioner too. Spring can get weak , also tensioner can lean out and not be in alignment with all other pulling. Also we we used to wire brush the paint off the new tensioner cause it can transfer onto Belt and cause noise too. I worked at a Chrysler dealer. Changed many...

re: Rubber boot

Posted by JRinNOLA on 12/16/23 at 8:47 am
I just threw away my muck boots that I have used during hunting season for over 25 years. Only because the bottom fell off in the mud and I couldn’t find it. I have reglued the bottoms back on several times during the life of the boots. I just bought a new pair. I hear they don’t last these days. Th...

re: Cat Island hunting?

Cat Island is a great place to hunt but you have to spend a little time scouting and understanding the rules. We have family land next to Cat Island and is great duck and deer hunting. Unlike a lot of other wildlife management areas there aren’t a lot of hunters everywhere you go. It is worth the ef...

The name of the game is to try to get away from all the other hunters ( not easy ) It can get very sloppy or very dusty. If you don’t live close try to get a cabin at the camp ground. I have seen some very nice deer come out of there in the last 2 years. Study the map. Good luck. ...

re: Tire Rotation Protocol

Posted by JRinNOLA on 9/17/23 at 5:55 pm
I don’t rotate my tires on my 2017 Silverado. It seems like the front tires are the only ones that wear out. When the fronts are worn I get two new tires and they always put them on the back. Original tires lasted 30,000. New Michelin‘s from Costco have 50,000 miles on them and they still look good....

I got bees , fun hobby , doesn’t take alot of time or knowledge but there is alot to learn about bee keeping. Always get 15-25 jars of honey from each hive per year. I built my own bee boxes and frames during the pandemic but I would recommend buying them. Just requires a little asembly. $500 - 700 ...
