Seems like 76ers are putting their hopes on Paul George or Lebby J choosing to sign and play in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania over Los Angeles. And assuming Siakam stays with Pacers... they may be left scrambling to fill that cap space with role players or trading for an overpriced damaged star: Lavine...

True. But if they somehow sink to the play in then lose and not make the playoffs? Hopefully- that would force some major changes, like Griffin stepping down or being replaced. Then Ingram traded for Trae Young. Would missing the playoffs be worth it if it caused the needed changes? I say yes...

With the Lakers' pick, but that pick will likely be deferred to next year's draft. So Pels will probably only pick in the 20s with their own or the Bucks'pick swap....
Yes! Honest takes from an Honest Man. You the best, Driveman. So thankful of your presence in our Peli-lives....
Yes, Mavs gave that future swap to get that 1st because they'd spent so many firsts and swaps on marginal upgrades over the years. I would've have liked Gafford, too. But it's not some no-brainer missed opportunity. Presti GM of OKC is considered a really smart GM. They have a need at Center for...
Gafford would have been fun, but Mavs gave up a 2028 pick swap to get him. That could be a Nets-Tatum kind of blunder for them giving up picks so far in the future, when Luka may be on another team by then. Are we really sure that Pels can't get a very similar player in the draft like Yves Missi fro...

Another option to fill the starting Center role this offseason-- let JV walk and sign a free agent with the MLE. Full MLE is around 12.5, Pels would be 20m under the tax without Naji. Interesting potential options: Goga Bitadze and Isaiah Hartenstein. Heck, Drummond wouldn't even be that big of ...
Karlo is here to help. ...
Yes, they just proved they can beat a WCF team, let's go for it this year while still staying under the tax. With no real Center upgrades available now (Turner, Allen, WCJ, Okongwu off the board)-- go make the good, pick-based offer to get Caruso and Drummond. JV, Naji, (EJ), 2 lightly protected ...

Other than Griffin being shy and extra safe with trades, Murray being a 'questionable character' guy is the biggest reason I don't see a D. Murray trade to the Pels as a real possibility. ...

Jazz make sense as an Ingram team. He can do the point-forward role there, Lauri is a great off-ball star....
OP must've forgotten that Miami traded Oladipo a long time ago. First to OKC in a salary dump trade. Then OKC traded Oladipo to Houston for Kevin Porter Jr. (salary dump) and 2nds. So no, Miami not involved in this trade at all. Oladipo was on Houston's roster, now on Memphis' roster after this t...

I wonder what Jazz/Ainge (and Pels/Griff) would say to a Daniels for Walker Kessler based trade. JV could be included or go out to a 3rd team....

A name that hasn't been mentioned much: Jakob Poeltl. Fits the mold of defensive anchor C, rim-protection, rebounding, quick feet to switch onto perimeter players, screen-setter, high IQ passer. Basically a realistically available Jarrett Allen type, but less athletic and a bit older. Would allow...

That opinion is coming from your small, fan-biased brain. If you were a fan of another team, which good players and picks would you trade for Ingram on the verge of demanding a super-max-ish deal? It's moot point, though. Because we know David Griffin won't trade Ingram or any of the big names s...

Ingram to Nets: https://fanspo.com/nba/trades/y8_tad91xwoXlP Ingram Alvarado Marshall ---> to Nets Claxton DFS O'Neale '27 PHI 1st (top-8 prot.) '27 PHX 1st (top-4 prot.) '29 DAL 2nd ---> to Pelicans Nets get an all-star caliber player to pair with Bridges/CamJ/CamT while still ke...

re: We pay max money to Ingram we're done

We know Griffin probably won't trade him, but I have Nets circled as a team that could be interested and give up enough. Nets don't have their own picks so they can't tank, Bridges and Ingram bonded on team USA this summer, and they need a top scorer. Some combination of DFS, Claxton, CamT, O...
Allen could play that role well enough, but he probably won't be available now. Okongwu is the Center I'm most interested in. Would take a slight overpay since he's young and on a great, new contract. And is he ready to be a starter and is he a big enough upgrade over JV or Nance? He would be really...

Ok, now imagine you are a Nets fan. Why would you want to accept that trade of "Kira and probably a heavy protected firsts" for your good, young player? They could take a better trade offer from another team or just wait til the offseason to re-sign him or find a sign-and-trade....

re: Trade Proposal

Would you want him on a $22 million/yr. contract for 4 years? If not, then you're giving up assets for a few month rental. Claxton's agent is the same as Zion's, interestingly....
