It is a beautiful storm watching it develop from sunrise on the GOES 16 visible with a 2 hour loop.

Katrina was also a 5 until just before landfill. It filled the entire gulf with its cloudprint....

The trend may be for the storm to eventually head east into Louisiana; but after having spent a week in Texas buffeting around the station...
