SI - "9. LSU: The Tigers got Ed Orgeron’s first season as head coach off to a strong start, dominating BYU 27–0 and outgaining the Cougars 479–97 despite missing a bunch of starters. BYU ran just 38 plays the entire night and didn’t have a play longer than 17 yards."

How in hell do they have USC Trojans at no8, Western Michigan embarrassed USC's defense? LSU's D would stomp that asss!

Because they want people on the West Coast to click on their site so they can make ad revenue.

Agreed. It's a necessity to pump a west coast team and now that oregon is in the shitter it's USC's turn again

News Flash. What they think, carries the same amount of weight in determining things as what you think.

USC's defense was bad, but so was Darnold. Darnold will be better, and they still won convincingly at the end of the day. I'm sure SI had USC higher than 8 before the week, so they likely dropped them. We'll know a lot more after the Stanford game.

Sporting News reporting on games as they were being played last night -
"Derrius Guice is picking up right where he left off last year for LSU. Three minutes into the second quarter, the running back already has 81 yards and two touchdowns as LSU leads BYU, 14-0?"

Guice is a beast!

It's amazing how once reputable rags like SI and the Sporting News have gone to crap.

7 times Bama had the ball inside the FSU 30 and only managed one touchdown.

Also why many people thought LSU had a chance to get JF. He hasn't been able to get any money for him/his staff to get better coordinators and assistants.

That's not true. He gave his DC a big raise last year, when everyone thought he should have been fired. All the assistants got raises. The defense's performance is squarely on Jimbo.

Same old Saban offense. He should be fired.

Pretty on point outside of Ohio State being #2. I would put Oklahoma there, but no need to, it will happen soon enough.

After Bear Bryant was embarrassed by LSU, he retired but soon died. Not a good omen for Saban.

USC Trojans should be twelve or thirteen, UCLA getting waxed now by Texas Aggies, maybe Aggies need some consideration.
