One of the Bowling Green fans here. There were a total of five of us. My brother and I met up with PhiTiger at his tailgate and damn they showed us a hell of a time. I'm sure I probably bumped into a bunch of other people, but things got blurry after my fourth shot of Maker's Mark in under five m...

Guys one last question (maybe). We're looking at staying in New Orleans Thursday and Friday. Someone recommended the Monteleone Hotel, but they're booked for that Friday night Any other not crazy expensive hotels near Bourbon St. we should check out?...

Guys, thanks for all of the really helpful posts. If all this friendliness is any indication of what we're in store for once we get there, I know it's going to be the time of our lives. If any of you see some young guys walking around wearing BGSU gear flag us down - we'd love to talk, eat, an...
You can get tickets outside the stadium. For 2007 Florida we got 7 tickets outside the stadium for no more than $100 each. Though not all of the tickets were in the same section. The trick is to wait until the gates open. That's when people start getting rid of tickets right outside the stadi...
Picking up single here and there Gameday might be doable. But hanging your hat on getting several, let alone any together? I'd buy early.
What if we try to split off into pairs for the game? Is that more feasible? Definitely understand trying to find a large group is going to be ...
Getting tix will be tough, very tough
That's what I was worried about. Should we try to buy them ahead of time on StubHub, or do you think it's smarter to buy some the day of the game?...

Yanks En Route for LSU v. Bama

Hey guys, About a year ago I made a my first post saying that I was planning to fulfill my dream of the past seven years of attending an LSU/Bama game. It took some effort to convince a bunch of my Big 10 buddies to make the commitment, but we're at a point where we're ready to start planning the...
i had a hs friend of mine who played for ohio and on my visit there i was actually surprised of the skirt walking around at the bar scene..kind of like a hidden gem in the middle of the desert
It's true. Went to the school that spawned Urban Meyer in northwest Ohio. MAC schools get...
There's no question that JFF was an absolute terror against all SEC teams not from Baton Rouge...but he relied on making absurd plays. Undoubtedly a legendary college football player, but no way this translates to the pros. Here's why going to the Browns is a godsend for JFF: He will be thrust...

This is actually a best-case scenario for JFF. When he ultimately disappoints in the NFL he can look back and blame the Browns organization...and people will believe him. ...
It sounded like Gruden said "Yeah, but he hurt them." Dude's been choking on Johnny's **** for the past two months....

It would be a Pike......
No big deal really. Gruden just gets these guys on there, has them throw a few passes, and then sits them down in a room to choke on their d*** for a few minutes. Literally nothing more than a fluff camp for some media exposure. Mett will get his....
I think some of you have alluded to this, but what about this as part of the whole concept of getting paid: You can elect to receive payment above the value of a scholarship for that school, but in doing so you must commit to finish your degree in four years. If you don't elect to receive paym...
That's not gonna fly. Women will be screaming bloody murder if they don't get paid.
They will be getting "paid". Every athlete/woman that would have otherwise gotten a scholarship will still receive a scholarship before the remaining money is split among the programs actually gener...
Let's look at some numbers here and imagine how things would play out under a hypothetical scenario: member schools of a football conference pay an amount to student athletes determined by revenue generated. From 2012-2013 the SEC generated enough revenue to give each team $20.7 million (keep in ...
$25M a year for 40 years or $500M lump sum? Decisions, decisions...
Easy. Take the money up front. Invest at least $100M of the initial $500M and hope for an average rate of return of 8% over 25 years and you will have ~1.01B in 25 years with the benefit of having the additional $4...
