Just flew from BR to DFW to Austin.

The flight from DFW to AUS just proved how how ridiculous and how submissive to the major airlines it/we have become. This was a 737 that managed to cram 200 people on to this aircraft. And on top of that the flight attendant (which apparently is not PC anymore) could not fit down the slimmed aisle. Thereby violently bumping passengers while she walked backwards down the aisle.

I'm sure I will get downvoted for whatever reason, but it's pissing me off that I can't travel from point A to point B without some issue/delay. The sad part is I travel for work, so there is not a dang thing I can do about it. This is just the final straw in a long list of shite business practices by AA.

Cheers.

I know!!! That's the sad part. I literally laughed out loud when she knocked the guy's shoulder about 10 rows up.

The other side of this is, had I not been hanging out into the aisle, three grown men would not have comfortably fit on our row.

I'm more surprised you aren't complaining about the CRJ-200 from BTR-DFW, those things are badd for legroom and seat width. Also, you sure it was a 738? Flightaware shows only A321 (besides one 738 in the am) on Dallas to Austin. Fair point about not being able to sit 3 adult men in a row though. Seat width of 18" isn't too bad on the A321, 17.2" on the 738 is tight...

That's called "C-D Hips" as in she is so large her hips hit both seats C and D on the aisle.

That short flight has always been a PITA.
I remember American running prop planes on that flight. Boarding was time-consuming and ventilation did not run until they were moving.

I have so many horror stories about American Airlines. They have to be the worst airline in the business. I cringe everytime work books me on an American flight.

Far from the worst...

I flew Egypt air about 18 months ago... I will *never* complain about a US airline again.

You know Southwest has once a day non-stop to AUS which seems to be timed for the business traveler (early am going out and and mid pm coming back in). You might try that next time. Can't promise a hotter flight attendant, but at least you'll only have to worry about 2 flight delays instead of 4.

I looked at Southwest. It would be a quick flight. But one, I travel a lot for work so I have accrued a ton of miles on AA. Secondly, I would not have minded trying it out once, but by the time I looked, the early flight was booked up. My parents are avid Southwest fliers.

Agree, but unfortunately airlines struggle to get enough FA's to operate their huge fleets. It's not same job these days, that once attracted only good looking young things.

I flew American for the first time a couple of months ago.

Everything went fine but I found American to be much less professional and more casual than Delta.

I can't even drive 2 miles in Lafayette without catching a traffic pileup, slow driver, passing train, or road construction. I can't imagine traveling thru major airports frequently.

Yes, I do believe I hate people.
