I am spending a week in Vienna (can't make Bertesgaden), Prague, and Berlin.

The beaches of Normandy are a special place.
Also London. It has the Imperial War Museum, Churchill's war rooms under Whitehall, the National Maritime Museum in Greewich and a slew of others:

If you are going to be in Germany, there are a ton of places to check out. Take the train to Nuremberg and check out the Palace of Justice. Then head down to Munich. You could get the added benefit of hitting up the breweries while down there!

Mauthausen Concentration Camp in Austria.
If you go to Berlin there are monuments, museums and remnants of WWII and the Cold War all around.

Lots of military history in and around the three places you named.
What specific era of military history are you most interested in, as there's museums and battle sites from many different epochs around there?
For example, Austerlitz is ~70 miles from Vienna but most folks don't know or care about Napoleonic battlefields.
There's enough around Berlin from WWII to keep you busy for a a week.

Resurrecting this for other history minded travelers.
Besides the obvious Normandy, it is well worth your while when in Paris to take a day trip to the Chateau Thierry area of Champagne. If you are a WWI history buff, Marine, soldier, or appreciator of any of the three there is a ton of history to be found.
Marines particularly can find a ton of information on visiting Belleau Wood, and some water from the fountain or wheat from the fields makes a great souvenir bring-back (possibly an extension to your life expectancy as well if November 10 is a special day for you).
The American cemeteries there are neat to see, and if able you should be there to see a flag raising/lowering. The folks working at them are a wealth of knowledge, and seeing what our country does to maintain the cemetery grounds and remember the dead is powerful.

The French Military Museum in Paris is pretty awesome. I could have spent two days in there but the wife wouldn't let me.

My wife left me at the very beginning of the Franco-Prussian War exhibit. She didn't have any desire to see the WWI stuff, I was like, "but...French 75mm" and she turned around mid sentence to go hang out in the cafeteria. Her loss.
Cool fact about the museum, it is part of the des invalides complex and still serves as a retirement home for soldiers (along with housing Napoleon's tomb and an impressive church).
