Just got back from Iceland and used the DIY test from BinaxNow that United is partnered with. Worked extremely easy, just sucks because you’re forced to buy a pack of 6 tests.

Just to add a data point.
My flights back were DBV-ZAG-IST-ORD
At DBV the Croatia airlines check in agent asked to see the test, but did nothing else with it.
At ZAG, the Turkish Air check in agent supplied me with the required attestation but didn't look at the test.
At IST at the gate, a guy asked us if we had our test and when we took it. As we were opening our backpack up to show it he said "I believe you" and that was that.
At ORD, we did Global Entry as normal and declared some food items we brought with us. We were through immigration/customs in maybe 2 minutes after deplaning.
The longest part of all this was security for our domestic flight home from ORD. My wife bought some Adriatic salt for her mom, and that shite set off about 10 minutes of testing

Just returned from Cozumel. Had the test done, however no one looked at the results. NO ONE. We had to fill out a form attesting that we had the test done and that it was negative, but again, no one reviewed the results!!
Were you able to just do it at your hotel? Did they charge you?

We’re in Mexico right now. The resort offered complimentary testing here. I think most probably do.

Any resort worth a shite in Mexico, Caribbean, Central America will test for free-$50 with results that day. The only person who checks the test (sometimes) is the gate agent of your respective airline. A lot of the printouts of my official tests have looked like someone just typed them up on MS Word, so I'd imagine it's easily forged (although wouldn't recommend that).

Ya, after doing the process myself it's obviously a total farce and isn't stopping anything.
