Mine is the Mongolian Steppes

Hauntingly stark yet simultaneously beautiful.

That's where I hunt mule deer. The town of Mitchell had a brewery that was about to be open last October so I'd think it is by now.

Have fun!

I went there two weeks ago, and it was great. I didn't know there was an elevator to the top and little observation deck on top of the horse. It was the last thing I did in Mongolia before I came back.

I've been meaning to do a thread of photos from my time in Mongolia and give some travel tips. It is a special place with great people. I lived in a village in the Gobi desert for two years. This summer I lived in a place that looked more like the steppe photos in the OP.

I was teaching, and now I can speak Mongolian really well which is very useful in the American job market...it was good for dating though.

I'll deliver on the pics. I'm travelling right now.
