Skipped the long customs line, two minutes at the terminal, a couple of questions with security and done. This was my first time using it, unfortunately IAH didn't have any Pre-Check lines.

I used it for the first time in May, returning from London. It made the exit at NOLA easy-peasy if you didn't have to wait for a checked bag. (Yet another reason to never check a bag.)

I never have to wait anyway at DFW.

Ya, when we landed there a couple months back we skipped the customs lines but had to go through regular security procedures with everyone else that had just entered the US to enter the terminal.

The first time I used it at ORD I don't know if I made the "mistake" or not but the agent sent us out a door that put us in front of regular domestic security and from there we prechecked in.

So as of now I can only assume it depends on the airport layout on what's going to happen with security. Either way, skipping 400 people is a big win.

I keep saying that I’m going to do the process and get it. Then I get through quickly every time, with only using mobile Passport, that I can’t make myself go get it done.

Wonderful unless you're at the shitshow otherwise known as MSY and the kiosks are down.

Would buy it (Global Entry) again.

Typical Nola, the kiosks were down for me. Luckily, MSY isn't that busy of an airport. If you're coming back through JFK then it is a god send

I got Global Entry because I wanted pre check and work paid for it. But coming through JFK and Atlanta I think mobile passport is just as fast if not faster at times depending on how many GE kiosks are open/working

Would recommend letting the Chase Sapphire Reserve cover the application costs as well.

Just completed the in person interview with customs at MSY the other day. The entire process was real easy. Haven't used it yet but was told Global entry also included TSA precheck.

As above says it does. It may take a flight or two to kick in though.

Make sure you add your GE # to all your frequent Flyer program accounts for every airline you fly or may fly.

I missed one for my wife once but fixed it when we landed so she was good to go on the flight back.

If you fly 1ish times a year, is it still worth it?

Also, is that a one time fee of $100? Or yearly?

Im going to think about it,especially with that new Icelandic flight company coming into St.Louis in '18, and offering cheap arse flights to iceland and around Europe, we might fly much more and that would be handy.

Lambert is on list of airports who use it.

The process is easy IF you have an interview office near you, my arse had to drive 4 hours to KC for a 5 minute process.

How long did it take to from beginning to end? The website just says it could take months.

I finished my application today. Hoping to have global entry for a trip at the end of May.

The only thing that holds up the process is getting the interview appointment.

You have GE activated within 5 minutes of starting your interview.

As long as you don't have an arrest on your record or something

Because in that case you may have to wait until you get to the parking lot before the approval comes through
