Fort Lauderdale/Miami Recs

So my wife and I had plans to go to Eugene at the end of the month for the Marathon, but I'm injured now which sucks. So that said, we pivoted and decided to just head to Broward County and just chill on the beach. We are staying at the Trump Hotel in Sunny Isles (between Fort Lauderdale and Miami).
We enjoy outdoor activities and just relaxing on nice beaches. We also want to experience some local culture/cuisine. I love ethnic foods.
We've both been to Miami before but it was like 20+ years ago in our party years. We are early 40's now.
Any things to do, beaches, recs between Fort Lauderdale and Miami?
TIA!

3 sons brewing has great food and brews. Good spot to stop for lunch. Invasive Species Brewing as well.
Lunch at Coconuts, it’s on the beach.
Dania beach if you aren’t beaches out already.
There’s a ton of antique stores on Federal Highway and Dania Beach BLVD if you’re into that sort of thing.

I went to GG's Waterfront restaurant and it was delicious.

Here is my only advice: Do not fly into Miami International Airport. It is an absolute 3rd world piece of crap airport. It is so outdated that there are hundreds of pay phones still found all over the airport, and good luck finding an outlet to charge your phone or computer.

Here and Hollywood Beach are great spots. You can get one of those touristy pina coladas in a coconut along the beach.
Make your way to Funky Buddha Brewery if you have the chance. It's a great spot and has a lot of excellent craft beers.
In Miami, go visit the Wynwood Walls. Lots of boutique shops there with great food. My personal favorites are Coyo Taco and Panther Coffee, and they're also side by side restaurants. Lots of incredible street artwork to see while there too.

I know you come to South Florida for the seafood, but Tom Jenkins for BBQ.
Looking for a taste of Louisiana: Shuck-n-Dive
LeTub for burgers and a cool place to hang out on the water
The Beach House (try Key Lime Pie) and Oceanic (try the crab cakes) are on the beach in Pompano.

It's not on the beach, I don't think, unless there is another one I'm not aware of? Nevertheless, it's an awesome place to eat and watch the mega yacht crews get the boats ready to go out.
We had a plant in town and I always made a point to stop in here. I think it's like a Ft. Lauderdale requirement to eat there. ;-)
Last time I was in town, I decided to just bite the bullet and drive to Key West for dinner. Yeah, I had to be back the next morning, but I knocked off at 4pm, was eating Cuban food by 8pm or so. I love that drive.

We aren't. For this reason, flying into Fort Lauderdale.
Thanks for the recs so far everyone, taking all of this down. This board never disappoints!

Would you recommend doing this on our own or a guided walking tour? We aren't too keen on being grouped with other tourists, etc., but if the guided gives a better experience we aren't opposed to it. Just wondering what you did as far as that?

I like cigars, so I just meandered around solo to a few lounges. I don’t think you need a guide. Just walk around, eat a bite, grab some drinks, and a cigar if you’re so inclined. A few hours is enough.
