Operational flight number varies during certain periods.

Seattle is added as well and runs from Saturday February 10th to Sunday April 1st. This is Saturday/Sunday service only.

4:50 PM – 8:15 PM
New Orleans (MSY) – Seattle (SEA)
Delta 2824 · Airbus A319

9:30 AM – 4:05 PM
Seattle (SEA) – New Orleans (MSY)
Delta 2824 · Economy Class · Airbus A319

I know this won't start until early next year, but these are pretty good adds for MSY. Delta going head to head against jetblue with saturday/sunday service to BOS and against alaska to SEA. Just in time for mardi gras season as well for the boston or seattle folks. E175 is a very comfortable plane on the BOS route

This is going to be SO frickING DOPE. Jet Blue's prices are already really reasonable between Boston and NOLA. This should cut prices even further.

Delta seems to love the MSY market. Only thing missing are directs to a few of their other "focus cities" (SEA, PDX, RDU, etc.)

I'm in agreement that this will reduce prices. I remember last winter seeing roundtrips for $160 on delta, jetblue was around $200.

I'm all for the 757s in and out of here, only time I haven't cleared an upgrade from MSY was when I did a SDC to an earlier or later flight. I expect RDU to appear first within the next year, then seattle, maybe a return of Cincy, then finally PDX. Not sure how many daily passengers there are for MSY-PDX, but it'd be good to get in the market before Alaska if they are truly invested in MSY

MSY-PDX would be an amazing direct add.

Exciting but I wish it was more than just 2x per week. But it is a start.

That route would be a heavy commitment of hardware.

I've taken the Alaska MSY-SEA NS several times and it worked for Alaska as a hub and as the primary destination (we shall see for how long now).

I just can't imagine a huge number of folks (especially business-related) needing MSY-PDX.

Just me thinking out loud, I'd personally love it.

One of my first cousins is a muckity in State Government in OH-ree-gone, I'd visit more often if there was a NS.

Thanks again Cuse for your being you.

I would love it if they did a direct for cheapish ($250-300). It could help the tourism in NOLA too with getting more hipsters coming to visit, and hipsters love to spend money.
