T1 to F12 is 10-12 minutes

Gate to gate or sitting on plane #1, offloading, changing gates and getting there for boarding that typically starts well ahead of flight time and assuming no delays.

Even gate-to-gate that's questionable.

2.5 min to train. 7 minutes on Train. 2.5 minutes to gate.

Getting around ATL is extremely easy/quick. The train comes every 1 minute and it is ~1min between terminals. Add 5min for walking and you can be anywhere in 15min.

The bigger question for the OP is how quickly you will make it to the gate and will the unload go smooth... you can't have many hiccups with that short of a layover... I would never do it, 1 hr is about my minimum.

I've actually got a 41 minute connection tonight in ATL. Should be enough time for me to get off plane, use the restroom, grab a sandwich to go, and board my next flight.

That's what I thought about my 1hr connection through ORD last thursday too. Hopefully you'll be luckier than I was

Lolololol still haven't pushed back in BTR.

I'm down to 15 minutes.

Made it with 15 min to spare. Even had time to pick up a grab and go dinner. And my checked bag made it.

There's lots of cool things to do if you have to stay an extra day in Atlanta. I wouldn't worry about it

~C45 to ~B30

We boogied on into our gate, they were waiting and ready to offload us. I doubt anyone missed their cx.

It just depends. I think it is doable - but I haven't flown in a long, long time. That would be close for my comfort.

What are the odds my bags make a 35 minute connection on the off chance I have to check?

I checked mine tonight. I'd say very high. The baggage system now is crazy automated so that the guys unloading know which bags need to be HOT sorted/direct delivered vs. which bags can go to the normal sort process.

I actually had a 36 minute connection last night. I sat in the first row of the bulkhead which made getting off the plane very quick. Landed and Gate B36 and next flight was out of B31. That was some very good luck to have the two gates that close but I still think I would have had time to make it anywhere else in the airport.

Also their was another flight out to DFW that night which was a nice backup plan to have. I was uneasy about 36 minutes at first but it worked out great.

Better idea is to avoid ATL altogether. Don't do it.

This is late but I'll reply anyway.

I connected through ATL twice a week for over 2 years..over 100 times. You can make it from any gate to any other gate in that airport in 20 minutes.

Remember that the boarding door doesn't close until 10 minutes before departure.

If you're worried, ask the gate attendant when you get off the plane to call the gate you are going to and tell them you're on your way.
