Can be very difficult. Depends on how long you are on runway and how far you have to go (in the terminal and between terminals).

The gate lady knows where everyone is coming from. I've heard they'll hold the flight for connecting passengers if your first flight is on time.

I've had a 1 hr 30 min at ATL turn into a 30 min connection from a delay and it was a rough run, take the train, and more running. 35 min is way too close for comfort, you'll have to hustle through there. Question: is this on Delta or Southwest? If it's southwest I think most of their flights operate in the same terminal, which would save you two escalators and a train ride (~5 min).

While the gate agents may know where you are coming from, their main concern is getting the flight out on time. Unless this is the last flight of the night, airlines have become more concerned with following their schedules than caring if you don't make a connection by a few minutes. Sometimes you'll find a gate agent willing to wait on you, but more than likely it won't happen. Just be prepared for what will happen if you don't make the connection

It's the last flight out of ATL to MSP at 10:21 pm. I had to take a flight late.

What date/ where will you be flying from? Nashville? As of today, it looks like the late night BNA-ATL flight is an MD88 and the ATL-MSP flight is an MD90. Both of those flights tend to go in/out of terminals T, A or B so I'd say you have a pretty good chance of them being in the same terminal.

All depends on which terminals you get in/out of

But close

We did a 45min layover last year from Terminal B to F with time to make a restroom stop by the gate. Jump on the train and don't lollygag around.

Check your bags if you are on a small plane out of BTR. You don't want to have to wait in the jetway for them to unload.

Doable. But like you said, little room for error. 35 min is the legal minimum connection time in ATL on Delta.

Just make sure you're not in the last row of a 757 on the inbound, and if you're on a regional jet that you don't gate valet (pink tag) your bag.

It's doable. Must have carry on with you and not checked on the runway like they do with small planes and you need to be on first couple of rows. Remember they close the door 10 minutes before departure

It's an MD 90 in and a 757 out.

Just get a seat in row's 10-18 on the M90 and you'll be fine.

Not a problem if you keep moving. Those Hudson stores can be distracting.

Atlanta can be tough to traverse in 35 min. I can't offer much help to OP other than sit at the front of the plane and check your bags.

I did want to thank CUSE for the flight recommendations on my recent ATL trip. All went well! Headed to the Keys in 3 weeks.

I had to run through Atlanta airport twice, not fun but made it just in time both times so maybe they do hold it.

Are you traveling alone? That should be doable if you are. If you've got a couple people with you it can slow you down.
