Looks like you got the goods last night. Hopefully you aren't working today and can enjoy it.

My last day in CB is today than back home tomorrow. Pretty good trip just wish we had more fresh snow but the low lift lines have been great. They should have also made Paradise lodge larger as the inside sitting is way too small.

Working the AM shift right now. Definitely hurts sitting this one out, but I'll find some freshies after work. Then I'm off for the weekend and got a ticket to the bluegrass festival happening up here so I'm stoked.

They didn't. 4 of those 6 they reported fell from 4am-9am yesterday and the other two fell during the day. They maybe got half a inch after the lifts closed yesterday. It's still soft snow today but yesterday was " the day" for this week.

Ole lucky arse. Is it filling up there more than usual for Winter Wondergrass weekend?

As a wise philosopher once said; mo money mo problems. I am getting my arse kicked by work lately. Going to make some laps in RMNP tomorrow AM because the traffic on 70 gonna be bad, real bad

It was good yesterday, not bottomless but still fun to play around in and it softened up a lot of areas that needed it. Plus the slopes were empty. Found a few leftovers today which was nice as well. Just wish I would have had one of those magical deep powder days but oh well, was still a fun week.

Town in general seems to be crowded besides the festival people. So it's been pretty crowded with the festival crowd filtering in (from the front range). Mountain gets congested from like 9:45-12 then it filters out.

I'll lap Thunderhead if it's crowded. It never really gets busy and I know some really fun stuff that doesn't get ridden a ton. Not hard to get to, but hard to find. Gotta know where to look/go. The wonderland called Teepee Trees.

Miracle March man! Maybe you'll get one.

You always are chasing that next deep day. This morning would have been a 5* powder day at the Boat IMO. The stashes I found were super deep. If I could have gotten first chair and gotten 3-4 runs of legit untracked, it would have been pretty epic. But I worked, so I went and ski'd some fresh but mellow pitched. Fun, but didn't get to ski anything to steep that was not tracked out.

However, it was still super crunchy and crusty underneath. It was -1 at the summit earlier today so we had a huge drop in temps. Basically, a big drop in temps combined with a west-northwest flow means super light fluffy deep snow for the Boat. Unfortunately we had a huge layer of slush prior to this dump, which became pretty hard when temps nose dived.

But hey, it was powder so I'll take it and run with it. Crushing a few beers and now headed to Winter Wondergrass to get weird to some bluegrass.

Yep we had a big drop in temps today at CB as well. Ever since I got 3 feet in 48hrs at Wolf Creek two Decembers ago, I've been searching for that same feeling, haha. I loved my time in Steamboat back in December and d want to go back, just have to see what the "season pass wars" offer for next season.

Have fun at the bluegrass festival, sounds like a good time. I wanted to hit JH next month for Zac Brown but with work I couldn't pull it off(huge ZBB fan here)

I'm en route to Berthoud Pass with some friends from Boulder for a birthday celebration. Should be deep and relatively untracked

Louisiana mardi gras trip checking in. Skied day 1 of 6 today at Powder Mountain, Utah. Snowed all day. Was cold but runs were sweet. More snow in forecast for monday/tuesday.

I set out a mission in 2012 to track the snow.

Drove with friend from Baton Rouge to Breckenridge, non stop.

Devoured Breck, then Copper the next day and then Steamboat the next.

I had been at all those spots before and the snow (at the time) wasn't good enough.

Saw brown runs in SBS. Worst I've ever seen.

So we went up to Jackson. Rode everywhere for two days but snow was pounding North.

Rode Targhee (Grand Foggy) and hated it. Couldn't see shite.

Went north to Big Sky. Stayed there a week.

Heaven on earth but I still couldn't get buried like I thought I would.

Point is, just be happy to ride. The snow Gods will never favor anyone or anything.

That's why they are Gods.

Exactly. They giveth and they taketh. If I'm on skis, I'm happy. Today was sneaky deep in stashes. Really good snow.
