I'll never touch the top 25 in AL. The #25 user has 560,045 points. I'm closing in on 400k, but some of these guys ring up >10,000 a week.

The 18 wheelers rack up serious points and the map people can make tons of points quick. I have never made a point from map editing, only driving...

I edit the map, but you have to learn how and know what you are doing. It can be tedious. I do it to better learn areas that I patrol. Now that you can take pictures of places there is another easy way to rack up points.

Waze sucks. I use Google Maps when I'm out of town.

I agree. I use scout. I've never made it to my destination using waze (it took to me to a neighborhood dead end on the perimeter/back of the airport I was trying to get to once). I have no idea what the deal is, but I really wish it worked because I do like the alerts.

I wish waze looked more like google maps. I like the user submitted stuff and the cop notification, but Google maps is way better for picking routes and looking ahead, etc.

I wish Waze would allow for users to create and download point of interest for travel. For example I am going to New Orleans and the Food Board would create a POI of New Orleans best restaurants. I could choose download those POI and turn them on when in the city. When I am driving and walking around I could look at the map and see only those on the map.

I would work great for travel in a number of categories, both at a city and a regional level...

No. It will automatically give you alerts. Go in settings and set what alerts you want AND set the range/distance from the alert you want Waze to alert you. I use .5 mile for example. That way I know to look for it at highway speeds. Plus one of my associates or I will not see your car doing the signature nose drive quick brake for a radar alert.

You are a good man, sir. Thank you. You policemen generally don't get enough respect.

Look the bottom left where mine says alerts only. You can choose: sound, alerts only and no sound. Alerts only includes cops.

Waze seems to be made for ease of use but I really can't figure a lot of it out. I might be dumb.
