Since the OTA update i do not get any notifications when on wifi, all of my social media apps take forever to load when using wifi, and i can watch my battery drain when using it. I have tried a factory reset but it did not help the situation. I have no faith in Verizon do get a quick fix for this, it took forever for them to roll out this update. Do they not do any quality control before they roll these updates out? I loved my phone before this update, it worked perfectly. Now I barely use it.

Has anyone had any luck with fixing any of these issues. I am not a tech savy person when it comes to these phones.

(not sure how this ended up on the OT. Please move to Tech board.)

I'm on an S4. Its made the phone operate faster thats for sure. But the notifications suck, Pandora app doesn't work in the lock screen, and there are several other things that are a little bit of a pain. But my phone was getting SLOW before, so I'm rather happy with the new performance.

Had a Galaxy s4 that wouldn't charge after the update. Took it to Verizon and they sent us a new one.

I have had no issues with speed. My G3 was always quick. When using 4G i have no issues at all, minus the battery drain. On wifi everything lags really bad.

Every time any of my phones have been updated they go to shite. I'm starting to think this is purposely done to get you to buy a new phone.

The biggest issue I've had with my S4 since the update is that I now longer get all messages that are part of a group text. For example, a lot of the time I no longer get the first message of a group text, but get all of the replies.

I have the Verizon LG G3 and have 0 issues after the update.

It's actually a little faster than it was before with better battery life. I use a lot of third party apps for notifications.

The only issue I have is no blinking LED light for any notifications, but I had that issue before the update.

Interesting.

I don't even use it at home anymore because of the issues. I can sit it on my desk all day at work and not touch it and by lunch the battery will be around 60%.

It hasn't made my phone any faster or battery life better (Note 4). I actually miss some functions that were on KitKat. I absolutely hate that I can't change my sound profile from my lock screen when my phone is locked.

I've been unplugged since 5:40 AM. Used it for about 5 minutes to play some Boom Beach, sent a few text.

It's still at 100%. Battery beast mode: Off [On]

I have a G2 and had similar issues.

I wiped the cache and did a factory reset.

The slow charging is still happening but the battery drain is gone

for me the update fixed issues I had with the last update.

I wish we could choose whether or not to update.
My phone decided to update when I really needed it, I was kind of pissed it was basically a rock for thirty minutes.

Battery life noticeably worse for me on mine, but still good, so I'm not very mad about that.

My favorite browser and 2nd-favorite crashes all the fricking time now though, and I have no idea how to fix it. I don't know if the stock browser or Chrome or Firefox are affected in the same way, but I don't really like using any of those.
