Yes, there are plenty of essential under $70,and the one you link is unsold at $140...not sure where you are getting $185...premium at $150 sold is not $185. I sold a premium for $140.

Eta: you said $157 for an item that ended at $150 with $9.75 shipping...are you having vision problem right now?

Seriously thinking of buying the ecobee4 because I have a 10% off coupon and HD has a special that includes 2 free sensors.

I swear there was about 10 sales for $185 each the other day. They're not there now.

ETA I was in a hurry earlier when I was looking them up

I think what happens with some of those is they list a few for cheap that sell. When they get low on inventory, they raise the price up. When the auction ends, it reports sold since they did sell some of the inventory, but it shows the last listed price of an insane price.

Weird how few are on eBay right now. Maybe I'm using the wrong keywords?

No, they have been drying up. Only 4 listed, two being auctions. You should list if you have any for sale.

Eta: I've recently purchased 2 canaries on ebay for a total of $40 shipped. They are sold as account locked/parts only, but I've had no issue getting Canary to transfer them to me

Glad to know I'm not the only one that loves Canary! Or are you just re-selling them?

One of the Walmart's nearby has ecobee 2-pack sensors for $19. I went and cleaned out the 4 they had remaining.

i fricking hate ge almost as much as i hate quirky.

has anything they built for smart homes been anything other than a clusterfrick?

(i get the daily 'every fricking tripper in your house is offline about 9am)

when will they fix that shite?

my outlinks have been offline for months.

i'm surprised my tapts aren't.

i've frickING HAD IT WITH QUIRKY AND GE

EVERY SINGLE LINK BULB was out yesterday.

EVERY

SINGLE

ONE

All my trippers are offline.

All my outlinks are offline.

I've been doing the reset trick to minimize the trouble getting the lights back online but i'm completely fed up.

This gets worse with every app & hub firmware update. Its bullshite.

Rant aside, has anyone had better luck pairing their GE bulbs through HUE instead? I think the problem is with wink and I wonder if I pair them all through HUE bridge if they won't maintain their connection?

Its certainly MUCH EASIER to pair them..you don't have to even reset them or turn them off and wait for 6 blinks. HUE just seems to find them and adds them no problem.

I have these fricking lights and they are useless. I think I was only able to pair one of them to the app. And yes, I reset the other three 100 fricking times.

My GE Link bulbs work great. I still have a Gen. 1 hub too.

Do any of you fellas know of an outdoor waterproof uplight housing that allows you use your own bulb?

I want to install some landscaping uplighting that changes colors via wink. Figured the easiest way to do that would be with a housing and hue or similar bulb.

no, last update was maybe a month ago where they said they had re-engineered them to make them much quieter and i think they improved the zwave component.

of course when you arent actually shipping a product, its easy to say shite like that.

my flair kit did come in and i haven't had time to even take it out of the box yet but i'll post a review on here when i do.

the flair says 'wink compatible' right on the box so we'll see if that's actually true or not.

eta i found the updates

UPDATE 7 (Aug 15, 2017)
We are currently working with the last pieces of the puzzle and everything is still going according to plan, even though the time schedule is off. Many of you have contacted us about integration with different hubs. We are in contact with a 10-20 number of different hub manufacturers regarding integration of MOVEZ so it will work "out of the box". Otherwise, we are waiting for certifications that you know through the latest update. We understand that it's frustrating that the product development has been delayed but we are soon there and the result will be really good. Thank you for all the support and have a really nice week!

UPDATE 6

First of all we are truly sorry about the lack of updates. We have been working very hard to bring forward the development and finishing all things needed in order to put MOVEZ on the market. Because of that and the fact that estimations of the timeframe for some things have been a really hard to pin down we have not published any updates for a while and we apologize for this. With that said do not worry, let us explain. There are mainly two reasons for the delay: 1) We wanted to push ourselves and the technology further and give all you amazing backers something extra by have both Bluetooth and Z-wave. We underestimated how much more work it would bring have two radio chips preforming well on the same pcb but now that it is done we can assure you that it was worth is. Having two radio chips also mean that the certification process got a lot more complicated which brings us to the next reason for the delay. 2) There are a New Radio Equipment Directive called ( RED ) in the EU. It means that manufacturers of radio equipment in the EU have to comply with a new radio directive and many products need to be tested for compliancy with this new directive. Therefore our timing is very unfortunate because as you probably understand the companies that make certifications are fully booked. So when will MOVEZ be ready for market launch? We are well aware of the fact that we are behind schedule and right now we believe that we are looking at about an additional 1-2 months, but we are doing all we can do to speed things up. Again, we are sorry about the delays but the product will be great so we are pretty certain that you will all be very pleased with it! Thank you! Teptron

UPDATE 5

The delay we have in bringing MOVEZ to the market is due to the fact that we are making it with two radio protocols. We figured we try to push the boundary a bit further!

We are also focused on getting MOVEZ compatible with as many HA systems as possible out of the box. For instance SmartThings and Amazon Echo. Voice control would be nice right?

With that said, we are still on target to release MOVEZ in July.

We are also developing a bigger solar panel that will be available in our web shop. This solar panel is intended for all users that will install the units in windows that do not get that much direct sunlight. It will work on both MOVE and MOVEZ.

UPDATE 4
The development of MOVEZ have been pushed forward as quickly as we could but the delivery will be delayed due to late design changes to improve functions, reallocation of work tasks within our team and us having to learn the new radio equipment directive (RED) 2014/53/EU that is replacing the old R&TTE in order to be sure to pass the new radio directives.
One thing that we are really happy with though is that we will be able to supply all MOVEZ with the new spool for bead chain that we have made

We believe with this and the other new accessories we are working on will really increase the number of products MOVE and MOVEZ will have great function on. To be able to continue to make accessories as we receive feedback from user is really the biggest advantage with the basic design. We encourage everyone to get back to us with feedback regarding the compatibility to different window coverings and/or how we can improve parts so we can push forward in making MOVE and MOVEZ truly universal.

well i am your cheap blinds tour guide!

i went with the low cost steve's blinds and i'm very very happy with them so far. if this movez contraption actually works i'm going to be ecstatic.

tigerwise is right though (a-hole) in that the nice thing about the lutron serena is it hides the motor in the bezel over the shade so you dont see the metal chain at all. but i'm talking less than $500 for 3 huge windows vs. $3000+ for serena.
