May not be the case. Ive heard of the computers reporting inaccurate inventories when checking remote stores lately.

i spent an hour at 1 store. still shows 5 of the starter kits in stock but the employees were less than helpful..even getting frustrated at me at one point for insisting they unlock the 'magic shelves' behind customer services where all the expensive HA doodads live.

i left sad because i looked EVERYWHERE in the store and they couldn't be found.

I guess I'll go check my local HD after work today. I expect to leave angry as usual.

No motor to truly lock/unlock the door...seems pointless.

I found one hue gen 2 color ambience starter kit for $50.03. Couldn't find anything else.

I did get two wink hubs for $.01 recently. I had a work trip in Memphis, TN recently. While there I went to check out their inventory at home depot, and Wink Hubs were $37 there. I am thoroughly confused now about the pricing game, why some had theirs priced at a penny and others at $37.

Apparently just prevents you from having to enter the code. Also allows you to check lock status.

In the Wink hubs, some stores didn't follow the 06/03 scheme. Think it depends on how that item was selling in stores. There is one Wink hub for a penny at a store around here still sitting on clearance. A busier store still hss the $37 price

Eta: you can sell the new hue hub for over $40 still. Makes the ambiance an awesome buy if you have a hub already.

What is in the kit? How many colored lights? (Cad is cold and doesn't want to walk down to his car to look)

I have a gen1 hub right now. Wondering if it's worth swapping it with the gen2 since I don't use homekit.

HOLY shite! 3 COLORED BULBS?

Jackpot! Those things are like $50 each.

I ran the hueManiac app the other day to music and my house was like a damn fun house. I didn't realize the iris and the white bulbs would also get into the dance party action.

Can't imagine adding 6 MORE colored hues to my collection. The wife has finally resigned herself to the fact our lights are a circus.

The fireworks hue setting is also awesome.. The random "exploding" lights is hilarious.

She's going to divorce me.

I've searched up and down for 2nd gen hue products at Home Depot and so far I was only able to score the color start kit (no complaints) on clearance. Some of the local Walmart's have dropped the hue 2nd gen color starter kits from $178 to $120. Doesn't compare to $50.03, but worth a look for anyone in the market for these products.

For those of us that are still learning, where is the lock cabinet usually? I know that there are electronics stashed behind customer service, but they tend to be on top of a shelf that is out in the open.

Same thing. Around here, they have doors on them. Interesting note, the computer only showed stock of 2 at 118.06. First time I've never seen the computer not be correct on price.
