Ah, i thought that single bulb on clearance was a color one. It finally made slickdeals yesterday.

Eta: if anyone needs a fiskars 14 ft or 12 ftpruner pole, they are a penny at Coursey. Can be found in the outside(but still inside) garden area. They have to be the round handle. Flatter handles are the new models

So then, what are you price matching too?

Edit: see my edit above if you need a pruning pole

... But you paid 29.97. The bloom is the only 06 price. Anyways, good luck with that. You must have slightly different clearance up there.

Hmm didn't notice that. They were on clearance end cap so I just grabbed everything. I might just be returning them if they're not on clearance.

Finally plugged one of the blooms in...it seems pretty useless...looks better than iris but the light output is laughable. Guess it would be good as a light for different alerts.

My penny iris hides behind living room couch and does little more than help set the ambiance when we're watching TV

Returned white bulbs and they were $26.06 so I did a price adjustment and kept them. Will go again next week to see if they drop more.

Also picked up a light strip and 6 boxes of light strip extenders which are now $26.06 as well.

For some odd reason the bloom was more than I paid for it so must not be on clearance yet at this store.

well, nothing now. CAD swooped through town this week and cleaned out the store.

that HD had 2 of the $200 starter kits and a few other things just sitting there on the shelf out in the open.

hu, you got some good stuff there. you need some colored bulbs though to make your HUE stuff really shine. i might sell you a few at a good price because they go for $40+ on ebay each.

Are you running any home assistant now? I know your issue with Alexa.

I don't know what I'd do with colored bulbs.

lots of things. they have 2 modes; white which can do yellow light, blue/white light and lots of temps in between. we have 4 over our kitchen island and you'd be surprised how often when the kids are studying or we're cooking i change them from 'soft yellow' to 'intense white' to help with concentration. that alone makes them worth the price.

but theres more...

on game days i make them all purple and gold

when the smoke alarm goes off they all turn red

at christmas they are various colors

i can run an app that has them change color while music is playing or do random shite like go off in a fireworks pattern (oddly hypnotic)

i also have some in lamps near doors that tell me by color if any of the 3 pool gates were left open or if any of the doors are still unlocked.

more subtle than alerts going off on your phone.

i have one of the island lights go yellow 10 minutes before the bus and red 5 minutes before so if she's in lala land its a reminder to get her arse to the curb (we live up on a hill so if the bus is already coming she won't get down in time)

then of course you can dim them & shite like a regular bulb. i especially like 'nightlight' mode where they are barely on but allow people up at night to get around the house without tripping over shite.

Do you put any alarm or lock stuff with your normal wink stuff or just keep it separate? I'm going through that dilemma now.

thats a tough one. my house is a fricking revolving door of people so alarms dont really fit my lifestyle. (yeah i know you bastards are going to come rob me blind now)

having said that, i do have a go control alarm that i can trigger like a panic button but at the moment the robots that use it are all disabled because i haven't actually figured out how to make the alarm useful yet.
