Thinking about putting a TV in an upstairs room for the kids. I've seen several deals on brands such as Insignia, Westinghouse, Element, etc. I'm fully aware I'll get what I pay for, but the kids don't have a clue and couldn't care less about picture quality or features, they just need Netflix and Hulu to show up on the Roku. Anybody had really good or bad experiences with any of these brands? I'm just trying to avoid shitty and will be happy with mediocrity for the price

Get a cheap one. I've had a dynex run for 6 years and 3 1/2 of those have been outside

Going on 6 years for a Dynex for me as well. They are absolutely fine for kids.

Do yourself a favor and look at the TCL Roku TV's. Good value for the price and the built-in Roku interface is really nice.

Have the 32s in both of the kid's rooms and it's perfect.

We've had a cheap arse Visio in a bedroom working almost daily for 8 years or so.

My high dollar Sony 4K smart HD has shite the bed three times in one year. The new warranty replacement is on a truck to me right now.

The repair guy said he has replaced the same part (power module) in Sony, Visio, and Samsung multiple times. (Those are the models his company services). Makes me think many of them use the same shitty parts.
