Is Echo better at voice recognition than Siri?

Second hand but yea that is what I have heard. Siri is very average.

My Echo is superb - it can be customized but I've not found it necessary.

It's surprisingly great. I very rarely have issues. Also FWIW they just added spotify support, which is awesome.

considering Siri is not considered that good at all, and the Echo is really good... yes

how far away does echo listen?

no way it can hear me from my bedroom if i'm putting it in the main living area for daytime use.

It won't hear you from a separate room. It's great if you have an open floorplan living room/kitchen/dining room. Mine is in my kitchen but can be used from all three areas with no issues.

It's ok. It's also always listening in your most active room so expect some random responses...

Yes, it's pretty spot on. I have It hooked to my wink hubs. Works great for lights and such especially this past Xmas. On a side note, i have a niece named Alexis, fun times when she is over.

They make a voice remote to use. Perfect if you don't need to here her response.
