Received mine last week but wasn't able to set it up until last night. So far I like how everything flows and works.
I sideloaded TVMC or XMBC (whichever you want to call it). Still messing around with that and deciding which Add Ons I want or which are ones are good.
Any suggestions? I'm looking for a good live sports one, if there is one.

The Fire Stick is garbage. I'm on my second one from Amazon and it doesn't even boot up. Flicks the logo and then green bars, then nothing.

Either I got lucky, or you didn't. I have 3 sticks running in different areas of the house with no issues.

I'll probably send it back again.
There's a rumor going out there that it doesn't work on TV's older than 2012-2013. Do you have older TVs.

It works great with my 2011 LG. The tv even recognizes it as a simplink device so I can control the fire stick with the tv remote.

Got one on my bedroom TV. Westinghouse 32" LCD that was bought in 2008.

Mine came in a few weeks early. loaded the TVMC version of XBMC on it last night How to video
Only thing to do different is instead of grabbing the gotham XBMC file get the TVMC files from here and install the tvmcgotham.apk file and you get all the channels pre-installed.

I just noticed that the remote isn't included. So how do I control it? I seen they have an app but not one for apple yet.

Enjoying it so far. Even though I've primarily been messing around with TVMC the most. Which I love. I don't have a personal media library though which would make things much nicer.

voice controlled remote isn't included, but a regular remote is. If you want voice function, you can just put the app on your phone instead of buying the extra remote.
