Not sure if Amazon Prime qualifies but for 100 bucks a year the free 2 day shipping alone is worth the price of admission. The movies and TV shows are just gravy. The few I have watched worked well. Started watching Vikings and really enjoying the series.

I started with Sling then went to PS Vue when it came out. Really liked it but switched to the DTV $35 promo to try it out. I have all Fire devices and it was total dogshit, even on the FireTV. Buffering issues to the point of it being unwatchable. Switched back to Vue and it's great.

I've got Amazon fire tv. I was gonna try sling out and it looks like everyone has been happy with Vue. What are some of the complaints with Sling?

So are AppleTV and FireTV basically the same thing from different competitors? Would it be stupid to have both?

I'm strongly considering PSVue. I'm assuming you don't actually have to have a PS4 for the PSVue service? You can subscribe to the service and run it through either ATV or FTV?

Yes, that's correct. I use a FireTV box and it runs extremely well. I've heard it also runs well on Apple TV. FYI it runs poorly on Firestick.

My version of Sling allows more than 1 concurrent stream.

Vue on FireTV

About 3 months in with a local channel antenna and no complaints thus far. Running 2 Firesticks and a Fire TV in 3 separate rooms.

How do you control the tv/stream on a device that isn't hooked to a PS4? Do you have to buy a universal remote or will the Appletv or Roku remote work it?
