It was a good game, I think we will look much better against Costa Rica.

agreed. Agudelo and Shea need to be starters. I'll eve say Rogers earned some more playing time. And I hope that he realizes Bradley is still a solid player when put in the right position.

I think JK accomplished a lot.

He made some questionable selections, but this probably allowed him to eliminate a couple of players from being selected going forward. I think that's why Castillo, for instance, played the whole game even though he was bad.

Basically he was able to experiment quite a bit and still tie Mexico and leave everyone with the feeling in the end that we had actually gained the upper hand. That's a pretty big success in my book.

Did you not watch Torres in the middle in the second half? He was pretty damn good.

And I think he has a higher ceiling than a lot of our other options.

Still not ready to get behind Robbie Rogers, though.

Agreed.

Why didn't Adu play tonight, btw?

This team has some really solid attack midfielders, plus Landon and Dempsey who are always very good. We just need 2 good central defenders and we can be a really good team in 2014.

because he can't examine the entire us roster with 11 starters and 3 subs?

What I liked was Jurgy's enthusiasm. Shea and Torres(once he was moved to the middle)were big pluses. Bong head Beckermen plays like he always does, cool and stoned. The ref sucked but that is to be expected. Agudelo played lights put.

You can sub as many guys as you want in a friendly. After his performances in the Gold Cup, you would think he would be way above Clark and Rogers in the pecking order. I was just curious if there was a reason why he didn't dress out today. Did Klinsmann say anything i.e. "we didn't want to play a guy without a club and risk a transfer"?
