Why did Mississippi State agree to play UMass - inelishaitrust
In front of 13k people in Foxborough? Playing a patsy in an empty NFL stadium halfway across the country seems like it'd be thoroughly demoralizing. What was the financial play?...

Attendance predictions - inelishaitrust
What do you folks think average home attendance will look like for your team this year? The new capacity for Vaught Hemingway is listed at 64,038. I imagine there aren't many standing room only spots left in Vaught Hemingway. Georgia Southern is the only game I think we won't sell out. 63,90...

re: Week 1 attendance numbers - inelishaitrust
I expect it to be near capacity. Visitor section upper corners may not be full, but with that new subscription ticket plan they came up with, they may be able to fill some of those if they were returned. Any word on how SC fans will travel for this one?
I don't expect State to sel...
When they played it at the Sugar Bowl this year my wife kind of freaked out and thought it was a big deal.
If the story is to be believed they didn't play it during the Sugar bowl. I personally can't remember. I was jammed and I was watching my team win the sugar bowl....

re: Dixie is dead - inelishaitrust
Always found it interesting that the band that played Dixie would then paradoxically spell out USA during the course of a game.
So there's a really neat explanation for this. Before 2009, the band would play an arrangement that started with a down-tempo Dixie that went into "Battl...
