The gap bothers me. Also wasting this chance to get our young guys a shot pisses me off.
Plenty of people have said well we need to look at process not wins and losses. Last night set us back. We were embarrassed and last night didn't get much experience to the youth. I can take losing if it meant our young guys learned. Instead we got a loss and we saw washed up trash like wondo on the pitch.
Hendo nailed the op

Dempsey
Zardes Nagbe Zusi
Bradley Beckerman
Johnson Brooks Cameron Yedlin
Guzan
I was hoping we would overload the midfield with Beckerman as the 6, Bradley as the 8, and Nagbe as the 10. Zardes and Zusi on the outside. As much as I hate Dempsey as a lone striker, it was our only option.

I'm not saying we should have won but not getting a single shot off is embarrassing and unacceptable.
Mexico played better while losing 7-0 than we did last night.

First of all, how many friendlies have we wasted where we should have been figuring out who our backup plan was?
I know my experience is limited but from what I've seen (from last World Cup to today), I don't think America is as good as we think they are. I think the World Cup gave Americans a false sense that we belong in that second tier (maybe third) of World Teams when they are not.

Nah, I say it before every friendly that we need to use the friendly to figure things out for the team. However, he does things like call in young defensive mids and play them on the left. We sure could have used a backup plan for our 34 year old center mid last night.

We called in Kitchen for the Copa, but did we even give him any minutes in the friendlies leading up to it?

Too many trolls, loss of a true sense of SB "community," general bitchiness, constant downvoting instead of supporting discussion, etc.

I really don't know what his purpose was.

Don't think so. Kitchen, Morales and Williams are who we need to be blooding in our next games

Just think about the ridiculousness of our only option being a 34 year old and when he was suspended all we had was a 34 year old. The frick is even happening?

Klinsmann's response after the first goal:
Very coaching. Much tactical. Wow.
quote:
“I think it had to do a bit with the early goal,” Klinsmann said, “but then you are trying to scream onto the field, ‘Go at them! Go! Become physical! Step on their toes!’ I think tonight you could clearly see in that moment, once we were down 1–0, we had far too much respect. They smell that. They feel that. And they start to play their game with all the quality they have.

It's bad and as I just said in another thread it's not like the 34 year old replacement was a like for like replacement. It changed our midfield dynamics completely.

Jurgen is a glorified soccer mom. "BOOT IT BABY!!"

So his coaching when they scored early was to yell at our players to get physical and step on toes, effectively to "play dirty"? My god, he's gone full CONCACAF
Posted on 6/22/16 at 10:33 am to hendersonshands
Calling in Jordan Morris was obvious and we didn't do it, and we were worse off for it last night (still would not have won of course). Similar to the 2014 WC when no replacement was brought for Jozy, which truly could have made a difference in how far we went in that tournament.
TLDR: making the same mistake twice sucks

With the exception of Wondo getting the yellow, we didn't even do a good job of stepping on their toes and playing dirty.
