I'm 99% sure it's available on Cox.

It fricking better be.

Per the US Soccer Website:

quote:

How can I purchase the U.S.-Guatemala match on pay-per-view? The match between the U.S. and Guatemala on June 12 is available for purchase live on both cable and satellite pay-per-view through iN Demand, DIRECTV, DISH Network and Avail-TVN. The match will be available in either English or Spanish for a suggested retail price of $29.95. Kickoff for the match is at 10 p.m. ET on Tuesday, June 12. Online pay-per-view is also being offered at ustream.tv.

Would Cox be the "In Demand" option?

So its 30 bucks to order on Cox?

If the Londoner isn't showing it, I guess I will try a stream. Hope my computer doesn't get AIDS.

Yes.

I'm torn between:

A. I want to watch the game. I don't want to see bits and pieces of the game, while I'm trying to get a good stream. I probably only got to see half of the Honduras game in 2009.

B. I don't want Traffic Sports to get one fricking nickel, and I want this to be a losing venture for them, so they don't do this horse shite again. Finding a stream is a better alternative for this.

Thinking about the money.... let's say they get 100 bars to pony up the $1000.

That's $100K.

How many people will buy the PPV?

I can't imagine that number will be greater than 50K.

Of course, that's 1.5 million in revenue just there.

I wonder if ESPN/NBCSN just wouldn't buy it for say... $2 million, (or if that's even a lot of money ....I don't know shite about ad revenues.) or if the Guatemalan FA asked for some stupid amount of money ($30M) to sell the rights to ESPN.

Either way, the Guatemalans can go GFT and if I'm Sunil Galati, they pay US Soccer a HEFTY fee if they want to see the return leg, and they don't play another friendly against ANYBODY in the US, until they get this right in the NEXT round of qualifying for Russia 2018.

Go to your guide and search the word "Soccer."

It should show up.

I would order it early if you're going to.

You never know if you'll have to call Cox or some BS.

I have U-Verse, and their online search function sucks balls. I tried searching for soccer and it doesn't even pull up the Euro's for some reason.

After more research Uverse does not get it but Cox will.

Thanks for the invite, MJ. I'm rarely in Louisiana for anything, so this would have been one of the few times I could go to one of the bars for a game.

Unfortunately, with the game's late start time, the drive to New Orleans, and my early day tomorrow , I don't think I can do it this time.

For those with Cox and bought the game, it will be on channel 501.

Is it really Finn's if Glassman isn't going to be there?

Yes it is. I have to be at work at 5:30 tomorrow to get a lot of shite done because I am going to be there for both matches tomorrow. Y'all have a blast. The 9:00pm start is just too late.
