I had heard a lot about Carleton and Weah in the weeks preceding this tournament. Hopefully Carleton gets some real minutes next year for Atlanta.

More than fair. It's hard to perform that well in two straight matches. But at least it's encouraging that we can play with anybody at this tournament if we show up.

Anybody know the severity of those injuries?

Have to think Josef Martinez and/or Miguel Almiron will be swooped up by a European club soon the way they are playing. That might give Sargent his opportunity. I know Carlos Bocanegra, AUFC's technical director, is very high on him.

They're U17s. No one should expect any amount of consistency.

Shouldn't diminish a large win against a team that placed third in CONMEBOL qualifiers.

I assume you meant Carleton instead of Sargent.

One thing about some of these goals, is they were quality. Nice shots, nice passes, nice finishes.

I said it before the future of 2022 was this group. They need to get signed and over to Europe for development. NO Dutch eredivise, go to Germany.

Rumor is that Arsenal and Inter were both very interested in Miggy. That could very well open up the opportunity for Carleton but it still may be a year too early.

england has looked really really sharp this tournament. japan's defense has held strong though through the 68th minute. i still expect an england goal at some point. would obviously much rather face japan, and if they can hold for another 20 min who knows what happens in penalties.

Their best player got called back to Dortmund. No reason we can't advance against England
