Coutinho's going nowhere. At least this year

I hope not, but it's going to be interesting to see what Barca does if Neymar does in fact leave. They're gonna be under a lot of pressure and I can see them making an ever stronger push to get him. I actually think if we had gotten Keita they would be more willing to let Cou go, but are resisting that idea now

they were resisting BEFORE... Keith WILL be a nice replacement for Cou, but, right now, he's not able to replace him... losing Cou would be huge, especially for our CL goals....

we should be targeting Pulisic either way, with Cou or without... good piece for the future of the club...

It's pretty evident that Klopp's three dream signings are Keita, CP and VVD. Whether we get them I don't know but he gushes over these three.

Several reports are starting to say that if Coutinho goes to Barca, Pulisic is the earmarked replacement.

Would be the full epitome of bittersweet.

Barcelona are growing increasingly optimistic of completing a deal to sign Philippe Coutinho from Liverpool, claims Sport .

Liverpool have insisted that Coutinho is not for sale , but reports have claimed the Brazilian has already agreed a five-year contract to move to Camp Nou after telling the Reds he wants to leave.

The latest speculation claims Liverpool are now ready to listen to Barcelona, who are aiming to pay a maximum of €85 million for Coutinho.

€85 million??!?!?!?!

Yeah... OK... keep smokin' the good stuff.

Unless Cou absolutely kicks up a fuss and we remain in Champions league, I'm 100% against selling him. He's top class and we can't keep selling away our top talent.

Nah man. Coutinho aint leavin. Not for 85mn anyway. FSG will have hell to pay for if they let one core player in the team leave. This is the long game. They're gonna have to play it right or go home.

Read something this morning that Klopp is looking at Renato Sanches as a possible replacement if we do not land Keita this summer...

Wouldn't be a bad move, even if it's just a year long loan like Bayern is interested in

I wouldn't want a loan... why develop a player for Bayern??

If we need cover, try and get someone a little more established.

If we go for Sanches, I'd hope it would be for a permanent deal.. no buy back..

edit: A loan with an option to buy would be okay.. as long as its our decision..

Yeah, should have been more clear there, that's what I'd be on board with too...

Then you could sign him should he develop over the year, but if not you just pay Keita's release clause next summer

I like the reports that say Inter want to bid €35mm for Mané...

So they expect us to sell, arguably our best player last season, for less than we bought him??

Where do the journos come up with this crap?

I see Salah has looked nice in preseason. Has his finishing improved a lot since his stint at Chelsea?

I'm sure he'll still waste a lot of chances, but his composure (I think he's scored with both feet and his head) has been impressive. He's linked up very well with Coutinho already. I expect a big year.

His work rate is absurd, which is why Klopp likes him so much. He has pace, makes intelligent runs, and is calm under pressure. He has missed a few shots wide that he likely should have scored on ( or at least put on frame), but he has been a nightmare to defend against for everyone we have played thus far.

yeah, I wouldn't consider him a clinical finisher, but from all accounts it has improved in Italy...

Like others mentioned, he is forming a good understanding with Coutinho... when you add Mane in to the lineup... they are going to be hard to defend against...
