Not that I believe Bleacher Report, but there is an article or two over there saying Coutinho has agreed terms with Barcelona after they made an improved bid.

Barca can agree terms all they want but unless they fork over £150m, I doubt we sell him this window.

Klopp said Phil isn't leaving and Phil just gave an interview like a month ago talking about how he could be more than just another guy at Liverpool compared to one of the super clubs. I'm more than a bit skeptical right now

If Kyle Walker and Raheem Serling's value is 50M, Coutinho is well above 100M. Barca need to frick off with this lowball shite. I don't want to sell him at all, but if it must happen, it better be for fricking crazy, stupid money.

I can't see the club taking anything less than 125M for him (I'd prefer 150M, but that's just me)... Barca's current bid is said to be at 89M so yeah they can frick off

I don't think we'll sell him this window... maybe next summer, but not this one. We'll have a year to identify and recruit a replacement..

Granted, if someone comes with an insane amount of money.. all bets are off. I don't see anyone going much past what's already been thrown out there though...

I for one hope he stays for a long time, but yeah I think next summer is more of a possibility than this one...

Is it August yet?

Barca mouthpieces are claiming Couts has put in a transfer request. Which would pretty much go against everything we know about him and his personality. So I'm inclined to believe the report is bullshite.

Following some twitter reports and apparently the Leipzig sporting director made some pretty insensitive comments about Keita and his camp. It really looks like there's no way back now, I think we'll get him.

As for Coutinho, I think we hold on to him for 1 or 2 more years

Yeah he called Keita's hometown a village. Well, jokes on him, as Keita is from Conakry, the capital of Guinea. Population of 2 million+, but more importantly larger than Leipzig

Yeah I saw that. He called his hometown a "village" or something like that. Idk how many of you follow the Liverpool threads on Reddit but they have a pretty good transfer board on it Reddit Liverpool Transfers

Every single one of them Coutinho rumors is from a Barca mouthpiece. It's standard Barca MO really. I fooking hate them (just a tiny little bit less than the mancs). With their standard "Barca DNA" BS. They've already tried this shite with Bellerin and Veratti this window. I hope we actually string em along and then shut the fricking window on their face.

On Keita, I still dunno. The Red Bull owner (Mateschitz) is a proper narcissist and Rangnick is well known in Germany to be a hard man with the charm of a boiled potato. So we shall see.

Well, good ol' Aryan logic would say that Keita is black and he's from Africa, so he's bound to be from a village and had to kill a lion to become a man, right?

This may be an unpopular position but, *especially* if we can tear Keita away from Leipzig, if Phil truly has his heart set on Barca and they're willing to pony up 120M or more, I say set him free then.

Let him go.

On any team I've ever been a fan of, I've always been of the position that if you don't want to be here, then I damn sure don't want you here.

Stay with Liverpool and be part of building something special under one of the best managers in the game or go to your "dream" club and play with your friends under a new manager.

“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.”

I hope we end up in a group with Barca in the CL. If they lose Neymar they're in a world of shite

I'm not 100% sure he has his heart set on Barca... I mean lets look at where these reports are coming from, 100% of them are Barca-centric outlets.

I agree on the principle of "If you don't want to be here, then gtfo"... Just not sure that it applies here

I agree in theory... but I wouldn't let him go this summer without a replacement lined up (in addition to Keita).. to be, next summer he could go (if he wants)..

Last time we let our super star go while qualifying, we ended up replacing Suarez with Lallana and Balotelli and got bounced out of UCL in the group stages..

edit: All that said, I think we need to convince him that's the right move... Play UCL with us and help our stability and you can go next summer, provided Barca meets our valuation..

Not buying the reports from Spain. If there was anything in it we'd have heard at least something from the Liverpool journos. But then again we haven't heard a denial from them either. frick Barca the pricks.

Update from Sky:
Barcelona think Coutinho would be willing to join them if deal can be done amicably. No change in LFC position: Not for sale & happy at LFC

That is contrary to all the crap being fed by the spanish press. This seems to insinuate Coutinho would not be adverse to agreeing a deal with Barca if Liverpool agree to sell. Which Klopp has clearly said we are not.
