I'm legitimately concerned about Cou leaving. If we sell Moreno I think cou will be next. Hope not, but have bad feeling...it better be for crazy money!

I think at worse, it will be a Suarez type situation... give us one more season... help solidify us as EPL contenders and a regular spot in UCL... and we'll let you go next season..

The Brazilian Gerrard

Not to mention, if Neymar leaves... Messi and Suarez are 30... the rest of the squad leaves a lot to be desired...

Not saying they won't/can't get others, but their track record the last couple of years has been awful..

I like PS Vue personally... It has NBCSN, and I assume will have the option to buy the new NBC sports package

I really like it, cut cable, upped my internet package with U-Verse and haven't really had any problems... Stream quality is just as good as cable imo, and Vue has a decent enough DVR system too.

Didn't Emre just agree on a new5 year?! I don't know what to believe with Keita.

Emre has supposedly "verbally" agreed on a new contract but hasn't signed. Could be one of those things where it's done, they just wait to announce it after bad news to boost PR. It honestly wouldn't surprise me to see him leave if we got Keita, as that would push him further down the pecking order

IMO, Origi should get this season to prove something... If not, time to go... barely even noticed he was on the pitch...

100% agree - needs to start improving and coming through on that potential. His lack of anticipation is really bothersome. He has the physical tools. He is also pretty good at scoring when its served up for him. But he just generally doesn't link up well with the rest of the team.

Joyce says we're not gonna put in any more bids for Keita unless Leipzig changes their stance. Oh well

I can understand that about Keita - the feedback to our last offer must not have been encouraging - hopefully we're still first in his mind next year for the release clause - but we'd better finish top 4 again and be in CL, etc. That's why this year is so important to lock it in.

I think we now have a bit of a quandary in midfield - Hendo and Can are the only two who can play deepest. Seems Klopp is trying Wij out there this preseason - largely because there is no one else besides Hendo (with Can still on holiday) who can play a half there. But with Hendo's injury history and Can also have little problems, I think some depth is needed there. I don't think we have any youngsters who can be an emergency fill in either.

I also think the same problem exists at CB - several guys with injury histories and not much back-up. As glad as I am that Lucas is no longer good enough for the club, he was back-up at two spots and played a critical amount of games for us between those two spots. We have more games this year and have brought in no one to fill those back-up spots yet.

So...

We have 4 CB's. Not counting potentially bringing in another as a starter so that should be enough. And we have 6 CM's. Yea it would be nice to have another just in case, but it's hard to have too many and guarantee time. We're not loaded by any means, but that should be enough. LB and winger were really the biggest areas we needed to add depth and at least we've done that.

Wasn't enough last year, and with less games. Gomez, Matip, Lovren - all three have had injury problems in the last year and faced multiple stretches of missed games.

Assuming we get VVD, what if we don't? Do we have another target in mind? Haven't heard of one that we've really been after, so its hard to assume we definitely get another CB

And we have 6 CM
Not all of them can play the deepest role, and 6 isn't enough if we are playing 2-3 games in 7 days a lot of the season. Hendo has missed more games than he's been fit for the last two years. Can has missed stretches. Lallana has at least two separate 1 month stretches out. Cou has a 4-8 week injury each year. Gruj missed 3/4 of the year last season. Only Wij was healthy most of the year.

That I agree with - which is why I was hoping a youngster at CDM would be possible. As for CB, I''m not worried about Klavan's PT, so any buy is a good thing.
