Are we doing the head to head league again this year?

Yeah, I just realized we need to start that soon.

We had eight good members last year, so there are two openings. I will pull up last's info and recreate everything because everything ran very smoothly.

I will almost definitely start a thread on it sometime between now and Sunday. Thanks for the reminder.

How'd did the league work last year? The league I was in was terrible. It was impossible to gain ground on anyone because every team could be exactly the same, so once you fell behind you were out of luck.

Head to head was interesting. It worked just like the EPL. Every team played everybody else twice and the team with the most points won the league title.

TD had two leagues last year,Vick. I was in both and the head to head was more fun.

I'm in - tried keeping the championship afloat last year and it sunk. Would be in for this for sure.

I was talking about a league that ten of us ran ourselves and did a slow draft on the board. Every place could only be owned once. Not every team had Luis Suarez and Yaya Toure. It was pretty much like how fantasy football leagues are run.

You guys are talking the leagues set up on the official BPL site. Someone else will probably get those started.

I did that two years ago and it seemed to be a lot of work. I prefer using the fantasy premier league format.

Can't wait to get this going again. I didn't get to draft last year cause I just picked up someone's team mid year.

All of this assuming I am considered one of the good 8 owners of the league.

I'm pretty sure that I was not regarded as a good owner.

I'm shocked that Yahoo or ESPN haven't set up a draft/H2H league for EPL.

It seems like they are missing a big boat.

So this site exists, but it looks like you can't do an online draft, which sucks...but it has H2H and a player can only be on one team.

Would be a lot easier to run than running it on our own with spreadsheets and adding up scores ourselves, like we have tried and mostly failed to do the last two seasons.

For sure.

I need to look at the draft date from last year as well as post all the information soon. It will be really simple to run. I have the entire spreadsheet with all of the information and the league rules as well as last year's season long thread bookmarked.

I would not say failed in the slightest. Last year worked very well. It was easy to run, maintain, and keep up. You just happened to quit the league (I know you were busy, but it is still shitty to sign up for this and then be inactive).

My apologies. Weekends for me last fall were pretty hectic for me toward the end, and I wasn't on TD enough to add up my scores each week. I had every intention of staying with the league the whole way through.

I didn't think the league went the distance last season (then again, I didn't check until just a few minutes ago...guess it being stickied made me think it didn't get updated a lot), but it appears that under your leadership, it made it. You just needed everybody to be committed.

Hopefully I'll be able to have a team somewhere this season. I overbooked myself last fall.

I 2nd Tigerstark to get one of the open teams. He fought hard to keep the championship league alive last year.

It stayed strong the whole way. It never really lagged and was active every week and practically on a daily basis. People made transactions the whole season.

One of big keys was to put your team on the watch list, so the website auto scored you. It took five minutes a week to keep up.

We had eight active owners and just had to keep track of two.

Honestly, you are behind others (especially tigerstark) to get in, but you can also just the official site one.
