The MLS facebook page is already posting so I guess this is gaining traction. Wonder what happens to Jones now.

Fair enough. I just think it is ridiculous to take Bradley over Dembele in a heartbeat. Even Capoue has struggled a bit finding a spot on the roster. But he is a great player. Seeing as not a single summer signing looks completely comfortable with Spurs right now, I don't think it's insane to hate the Bradley rumours. He won't be given an opportunity.

I'm all about consistency, and MB gives you that night in and night out. Dembele will have flashes of brilliance but also plays like a dumpster fire on other nights. I'm not saying we have to dismiss Dembele, but I'm saying theres room for PT if the MB to spurs rumors have any substance.

The PL is a much different league. Ask Erik Lamela.

The guy who doesn't speak the language and who has a new team in a new league with a new manager after the last one got fired?
Good example, bro.

Lamela wasn't exactly a model of consistency in Serie A though...

If Bradley comes back we might as well jus bring every us player into the mls.
Whatever, frick it.

i don't think Bradley would be awful beside a Sandro or Capoue in a 4-4-2, but Paulinho is better though so his prospects of consistent PT aren't great at Spurs.

This is a great move for MLS. I'm sure everyone here wants MLS to become a strong league in the future and how is the league gonna improve if it doesn't shell out the money for big time players... especially big time USMNT players?!
Toronto is gonna be scary good next year if they get both Defoe and Bradley.
ETA: Also, Landon Donovan's WC form never got worse after coming back to the States.

I wonder what the value of guys like Dempsey and Bradley coming back to the MLS actually is. I'm sure it helps some with TV (just a wild guess though). Not sure US players "coming home" does a whole lot to raise the league's profile internationally.
for the record: better for Bradley to play somewhere than sit on the bench. and he's 26. he's not really developing anymore...

Why?
Don't you want MLS to grow as a league?
Doesn't that start by keeping the best americans home?
Do you realize that Bradley was making 800K euros a year in Italy? For his talents, that is criminal.

This is true.

I want Bradley to have consistent PT before the WC. If that means moving to TFC, so be it.
That said, I would be happier with a 6 month loan.

I agree with your first sentence.
I don't understand what you are trying to say in your second sentence.

The problem is that he was very good at Chievo and Heerenveen and had a lot of success at Gladbach. He could have made another move like that before going back to the MLS. Seems like this is more about money.

In terms of the average American sports fan, I don't think many know Bradley's name and probably couldn't pick him out on the street.
He's the most important player in the entire US pool, but because he doesn't score goals and has a very reserved off-the-field personality, he's not very popular American sports culture.

If MLS was serious about their 2022 aspirations, it was always going to begin with bringing home the top Americans.

Also, how do you all know this will be a terrible move for Mikey's career? He's a smart guy, if this would badly affect his career too much he wouldn't do it. I am a bit surprised that he would be leaving Europe, but there are plenty of reasons for him to do it.
